You got to see a little piece of it on his wrist when he was holding Chad’s face when Cameron peeked in. That’s the reason E.J. is always in long sleeves – too much work to cover it up.
October 18, 2013 at 3:00 am #41379PattiParticipantI despise tattoos, but most especially large ones that consume the body or body part. I don’t think they’re in the least bit attractive, and why anyone would want to go through that amount of pain is beyond my wildest comprehension. But, that’s just me!
October 18, 2013 at 3:31 am #41381TFlo1018ParticipantWe disagree on SOMETHING (though it’s not DOOL related so our streak remains in tact LOL.)
I have 9 and they all (but 1) mean something to me – but I totally get what you’re saying – they are not for everyone!!!
October 18, 2013 at 6:17 am #41382BonbonParticipantSo many people these days have them, I don’t know why they think they have to hide his. Maybe it’s because they believe a tattoo isn’t consistent with the EJ character.
I personally don’t care for them when they cover a large area but then, it’s an individual choice. I suppose it’s now different than thing coloring one’s hair. The only difference is you can’t change the tattoo. This is probably very sexist but I think they look worse on a woman than a man. I think if a woman has one that can be covered up with a bikini it’s okay. :o) And I hate to see a man have any that can’t be covered up with a shirt.
BTW, I have two that I got when I turned 70. I have a fairy on my instep and a very small heart (about the size of a dime) where my thumb and forefinger meet. I could not explain why I wanted or why I got them but I do enjoy having them and have not regretted my decision. I guess one thing is the reaction I get because of my age. My granddaughter thinks I’m the coolest grandmother ever. However, if I was in my 20s, 30s or even 40s, I probably would not have done so.
October 18, 2013 at 1:07 pm #41390PattiParticipantbut since it’s not DOOL story-related, I’m not counting it. LOL!!!
October 18, 2013 at 9:08 pm #41394powerpaw2ParticipantI had thought about getting one for years. When my dog Bud was diagnosed with incurable bone cancer in 2001, I decided to get a tatoo of his pawprint on my upper arm. There are several people who have known me for years who have no idea I have one. The only way you can see it is if I’m wearing a sleeveless shirt.

October 18, 2013 at 10:40 pm #41397PattiParticipantwith tattoos??? LOL!
October 19, 2013 at 10:23 am #41399BonbonParticipantyou’d want to go through the pain of that? Piercing hurts a lot worse than tattooing.
October 19, 2013 at 2:12 pm #41401PattiParticipantI have two pierced ears that I’ve had since I was a child. A full body part tattoo with the tattoo gun or needle going into your skin hundreds of times, over and over, surely cannot compare as far as ear piercing pain goes. We are talking about E.J.’s full-arm tattoo, or people who have lots of large tattoos. Just don’t understand your thinking sometimes.
October 19, 2013 at 2:20 pm #41402BonbonParticipantYou question why someone would subject themselves to the pain of getting a tatoo but not the pain of having your ears pierced. I don’t belive intensity had been mentioned.
I can fully understand your dislike of tatoos and share it to some extent. But I think it is a personal decision to have them, just like piercing your ears. When I was very young only "floozies" had ears pierced. I think some day tatoos will be looked upon no differently than pierced ears are now.
October 19, 2013 at 3:03 pm #41403PattiParticipantof one single ear piercing compared to hours on end of large tattoo piercing ….. well, okay, but that’s what I was talking about. Yes, I know many people love tattoos, and that’s fine. I just can’t imagine the comparison of the pain involved when it comes to large tattoos. I’m not making this a debate. To each his own.
