I honestly never thought I would say this, but I am tired of the character EJ. I am tired of watching the same scenes day in and day out over his obsession with Sami, –the woman shot him for crying out loud– and trying to find the proof that Ari had. He is acting like a complete spoiled rotten brat.
I watch the day ahead in Canada and today he is going around the room yelling like an idiot about the proof Ari had,and he has the nerve to tell Stephano to stop yelling.–what a cartoon character.
I love looking at EJ, and I know the actor is doing the best he has with the lines that he is given, but the character seems like a bumbling idiot compared to when he first came on the show.
Thanks for letting me rant.
November 2, 2010 at 11:30 pm #17623Blondie-1ParticipantTrust me, I love to look at him, and the man is a great actor, but the writers are not using his talent and I am sad to say that it is ruining the character for me.
November 3, 2010 at 2:29 am #17626lynnekarenParticipantHe’s freaking out because she wants to take the kids away from him & what started this was him trying to take them away from her. Such a hypocrite, and now he wants to do it again. I can’t stand EJ’s character.
November 3, 2010 at 2:41 am #17627luckeyParticipantof EJ at all. As for the actor, James Scott usually nails the personality of EJ, but lately he’s a bit over the top…just my opinion. I also usually have to turn the closed captioning on to understand what he says because he talks so fast and doesn’t ennunciate well. It makes it very difficult to understand what he’s saying. I notice that a lot with British accents…at least that’s how it is for me.
November 3, 2010 at 3:25 am #1762153tdogsParticipantstick EJ in a corner and let him have one line a week!
November 3, 2010 at 3:32 am #1762953tdogsParticipantabout the British accents – you should go over there and listen to them…it’s very hard to understand their English! I had to constantly say "Excuse me, can you please repeat what you said?" I thought in Great Britian I wouldn’t need a translator. Every fourth word made sense and I could understand.
I never even thought of the CC feature on the t.v. because a lot of times I am rewinding the DVR to see what the characters mumbled their lines or said it so fast, and last time I had my hearing checked, (just a couple of months ago), it was great! And everybody thinks we Californians speak fast!
November 3, 2010 at 2:31 pm #17649PattiParticipantyou should read some of the posts on other boards. For me, personally, I have always hated the character of E.J. DiMera, ever since the day he returned to Salem SORASED to suddenly be older than Sami Brady. However, I will say that James Scott pulled off the villain everybody loved to hate with perfection, mainly because he is so good-looking. However, that being said, he’s now becoming a laughing stock to many because of his obsession with Sami and the fact that the writers have ‘dumbed him down’ to such a degree as he comes off more pathetic than villainous. He’s certainly not the E.J. Wells-DiMera we saw in the past. He’s been turned into a wuss where Sami is concerned. So what happens when Stefano will put a hit on Sami — E.J. will tell him she is in no way to be harmed. She shot you in the head while you were in a drunken stuper, you idiot — GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON. File for shared custody, pick up your marbles, and go home. You made a huge mistake when you outed Nicole. Now, she’s going to blackmail you …. again.
November 5, 2010 at 1:37 pm #17758PattiParticipantwere nice to look at, but made absolutely no sense. E.J., first of all, trying to convince Brady to turn on his step-sister, all the while claiming how much he (Brady) should honor Arianna’s final wishes by giving E.J. any information he might know about Arianna’s proof as to who shot him was THE most ludicrous and unreasonable, not to mention unbelievable, scenes this show has tried to convince me that these writers have not lost their freakin’ minds. What do you expect Brady to do, you nimrod. And then, to tell Brady, or I should say scream at Brady, "I want justice," —- YOU, E.J. DiMera, want justice —- literally made me walk out of the room. Then, you’re still trying to justify, again to his uncle, that Will was the reason Arianna ran into the street, to get away from Will. Never mind the fact that she looked straight at you and then took off, you lunatic. But, you want justice. Too bad justice can’t be served by you being dead. By the end of their scenes yesterday, E.J. sounded like a pathetic comparison to a broken record falling on deaf ears. Conclusions to yesterdays scenes between these two: Brady = HOT; E.J. = NOT!
November 5, 2010 at 2:24 pm #17762luckeyParticipant"You want justice after the crimes the you have gotten away with!?" These writers are beyond ridiculous!
November 5, 2010 at 7:32 pm #1777253tdogsParticipantof what they have written in the past and that we all know about, (kind of like Washington D.C.).
