Many people marry not within their age group. I know several people that are married with kids to people who have more than 10 years difference. So it is not uncommon these days.

For that short period, I really like Anna & Roman together, tho I also have to agree that I still see Chris K. when I look at Roman. It was especially creepy with Kayla being his sister when he played Chris, they lived together for awhile.

And recent watchers who saw Wayne return to the screen, did not get to see the Wayne we knew from before. The writers should have switched Wayne back to Roman Brady and let Josh then portray the guy who Marlena knew from college days. Sure, that would have been weird for current watchers, but no more weirder than when, as current watchers way back when, we were asked to believe Roman ‘morphed’ into a new body (enter Drake). We accepted the new handsome Roman pretty easily, didn’t we? Oh, well … we want it, but we just can’t have it all !!
December 22, 2009 at 11:18 pm #8709SWParticipantchemistry was even better than that of Wayne’s Roman. Josh Taylor has a ‘Texas’ accent along with the slang that the original never would have used. Chris K. used the Texas accent and slang and that is why I don’t like Josh as Fauxman. His "What duh h*ll?" was just one of the things that the Roman I knew would never have said! I always thought they just should have called Josh’s character Chris K. and left it as that. That whole story with Marlena’s doctor friend from college, just made no sense to me and I hated the story. I also felt that when Wayne returned, he and Marlena did not have that same chemistry that originally existed. Maybe the chemistry with John was just so much more intense that it was hard to go back to something less?

December 23, 2009 at 12:36 pm #8739BonbonParticipantThe funny thing about Josh’s accent is that he’s from Illinois! Where in the heck did it come from? Although some people from the southern part of the state, out in the country, have an accent, he’s from the city.
I don’t have a problem accepting him as Roman. I guess because he’s played the part for so long now and it was a long time since he appeared as Chris K. In fact, I was never a big fan or Wayne with Marlena.
They were okay but nothing special for me. I just wish they could find him (Josh) some kind of a love interest. It doesn’t even have to be an intensly romantic one, just someone he can relate to and spend some loving time with. Hmmm, would Carly work there? Or Faye?
December 23, 2009 at 2:06 pm #8743PattiParticipantI don’t have a problem with him being Roman either. I think that ridiculous sl with Alex North ruined it for me with Wayne Northrup. I’ll take Josh any day. Regarding Anna, she’ll go where the smell of money is anytime, but she did hold a spark for Roman, even though she loved her Tony, or wait…did the DiMera money have anything to do with that? Who knows, but I do remember her well, and she has always always been in love with the almighty dollar before ANY man, including Tony.
