…Am I the only one going goo-goo gaa-gaa over Mr. EJ Dimera?! What a hunk, eh?! Whoa mama! The way this character has been so compassionate, considerate, and heart-warming to the likes of Sami, Ari, Rafe…and a host of others, is amazingly beautiful! How can you NOT enjoy this character?! And kudos to the actor…Did you see how well-emotional he was towards Ari when he thought she was behind the disappearance of his and Sami’s daughter?! This guy has a lot of love in him! I so hope the writers keep him this way!…And the way he kissed Ari on the cheek on today’s show at the Brady Pub, as he was making his exit…HEART THROBING! I actually think he and Ari would make a hot couple on the show (move over, Brady)! And it’s nice seeing him, Sami and Rafe get along!
…Whoever is in charge of dazziling his hair, has done an amazing job! I love the look! ROCK ON, EJ!
December 23, 2009 at 1:32 am #871553tdogsParticipantEJ has always rocked the show for me…I know I’m in the minority but I think he and Sami are great together – sparks and fire! I love Rafe, but mostly because I have to because the show won’t do what I want them to do – I think, Rafe and Sami are just going to "nice" each other to death. EJ is great!
December 23, 2009 at 2:51 am #8721IzzyBParticipantThe character of EJ is great and I have always liked him on the show. I just have never wanted him with Sami. I really hope they find a good match for him, maybe Ari. Or maybe someone new.
December 23, 2009 at 9:22 am #8722ChelluvParticipantEJ has a really nice booty. I was admiring it the other day lol
December 23, 2009 at 11:39 am #8729June66watcherParticipantBefore EJ became EJ, this actor was on All My Children. His character was abandoned by his father and that new relationship was swinging back and forth. And he was soooooo suave with the women. That smile and youthful appearance, the height, the hair, the accent — was one yummy package.
That’s why, when in the beginning of his run of DAYS, when EJ and Sami danced on the pier, I was totally like YEAH! That’s a new turn for Sami, to be swooned over by this new HUNK! But alas, Sami just had to be Sami and the ‘glow’ on my face disappeared
December 23, 2009 at 12:19 pm #8736BonbonParticipantI was ga-ga over EJ from the first day he appeared on the show. He’s got everything in one package. And I think he’d be hot with any woman they pair him with, and it looks like it’s going to be Ari. I’m okay with that but I really wished the he and Nicole could stay together. Not so much for any chemistry they may or may not have but because I thought they’d make for good couple in "evil" storylines. Plus…they look sooooo good together.
December 23, 2009 at 3:04 pm #8747PattiParticipantbecause of the early storyline with him and Sami and the 4-letter word, I’ll be the first to admit that I hated the character. Now, I actually am beginning to enjoy this character. He’s in-between good and evil, sort of in that gray area, and I like that about him. Right now, I’m looking forward to the possibility of seeing the chemistry between him and Ariana. God knows, Brady is hopelessly in love with Nicole, and I love Lindsay Hartley and hope that her character finds love with someone who can devote himself to her and her alone, and that’s not Brady Black. E.J. on the other hand needs to find love as well, and Sami has never been it for me as far as E.J. was concerned. Never liked these two together, never will. Sami can run wild over my nerves, and the only one I seem to be able to even consider liking her with right now is Rafe, because it seems he knows how to handle her. E.J. and Sami are like oil and water, and her hatred for the DiMeras will only continue to interfere with any possible relationship between them. So, I’m hoping they give E.J. a chance with Ari. I think they make a good-looking couple, but I do have to agree that E.J. would have chemistry with just about any woman. Maybe way down the road, Nicole will be written into a storyline that will make her completely redeemable and the possibility of them getting back together will always be there. But, for now, I just can’t see that happening.
December 24, 2009 at 8:42 am #8781PunkyParticipantEJ is alright at the moment. I was getting tired of seeing him yell and have temper tantrums all the time. I think the actor has more to work with now and thus is more enjoyable to watch. I never want him back with Sami to the extent that I will stop watching Days if this happens. I do hope EJ is paired with someone else. I think it’s headed towards him being paired with Arianna. That would be fine with me.
December 26, 2009 at 5:18 pm #8847luckeyParticipantI intensely despise the character and always will for his rape of Sami! In my book he is totally irredeemable. He’s evil…always has been and always will be. No offense meant to all who like him, but the rape itself was unforgivable and the way he set the whole thing up had me feeling actual contempt for the way it was written. As for the actor, James Scott, he portrays EJ exceptionally well. My only complaint with him is that he speaks so fast and does not enunciate his words often making it difficult to understand him. Sami and EJ together…NEVER for me.
December 26, 2009 at 7:04 pm #8850PattiParticipantsee E.J. and Sami together again, unless it is to discuss their children, and nothing more. Rafe is perfect for Sami. I have always been a LUMI fan, but now that that looks hopeless, I must say I really enjoy AS and GG together. Rafe doesn’t have any ulterior motives, or so it seems. E.J. doesn’t do anything for anyone unless there’s something in it for him. JS is a great looking guy, but my opinion of E.J. is that he’s best suited to Nicole. Hell, who knows, maybe they can redeem each other. I just want him to leave Sami and Rafe alone. But, truth be told, I think that Rafe, as much as he loves Sami, and is always looking out for her, would step aside if she decided she wanted E.J. in the end. If that were to turn out to be the case, Sami would slide right back down to the bottomless pit she crawled out of to get where she is now. Hope that doesn’t happen.
December 26, 2009 at 10:38 pm #886153tdogsParticipantdidn’t Sami "rape" Austin? http://www.daysofourlives.com/specials/specials_detail_2274.html
Seem’s like Day’s has to have a rape story line every few years (which I wish they wouldn’t do given the horrific subject matter). There have been a number of characters that have also done what EJ did to Sami over the years (not that they were right in any way, shape, or form) but the charactor’s have evolved into fine, upstanding folks afterwards, i.e., Sami (as aforementioned), Bill with Laura (way back when), Jack with Kayla, and I believe a few other’s over the years, so EJ isn’t the only one.
December 28, 2009 at 3:17 am #8911BonoSugaRayParticipantperfect for Sami. Sure, he’s a good guy, but the chemistry just ain’t there. I’d rather see Sami/EJ arguing all the time, as long as they’re together! And I agree with you, 53tdogs! Sami has RAPED before, as well as others, but those who dislike the EJ character seem to ALWAYS FORGET that, when trying to argue why they so dislike him! If the reason why folks don’t like EJ is because he allegedly RAPED Sami, then how come some of those same people LIKE (and manage to like) Sami…and the others who have done the same thing?!
December 28, 2009 at 2:02 pm #8913PattiParticipantI could give a red rodent’s derriere who raped who, when, how or where; that’s just a repetitive soap plot continued to be used to this day by writers with absolutely no imagination. This topic, however, is simply a matter of preference; some fans prefer JS and some of us actually prefer GG. Personally, if I wanted to continue hearing Sami drivel day-in/day out in paranoid/schizoid/psychotic mode 24/7, I would have preferred they kept her with Lucas.
December 28, 2009 at 7:42 pm #8924luckeyParticipantMy feelings about EJ are the same for Bill and Jack for the same reasons. I’ve been an on-and-off watcher since the beginning of Days and the storyline being referred to about Sami raping Austin is one I didn’t see. I’m not a Sami fan to begin with; so, if I had seen that story, it would have just reinforced my dislike of that character as well.
December 28, 2009 at 11:21 pm #893453tdogsParticipantI, for one would like to see the writer’s not delve into a rape story lightly at all as it can ruin a woman’s life forever. I would think that if "Days" has women writers – they would stand their ground and balk at these repetative story lines. Some men find a rape story scene titillating and the women writer’s need remind the power’s that be with the story lines that rape statistically happens about every 1 every two minutes in the USA alone. It could be their mother, sister, wife, daughter, sexual assault is horrendously devastating and should always be treated as such.
