If it turns out that EJ is the one behind the kidnapping, all I can say is the writers certainly duped us. There were just too many scenes that EJ had showing the misery he was experiencing. Remember when he got the first note from Anna and the emotion he had on his face. And he was alone so no need for any acting. Same thing when he got the second note. And his vehement condemnaation of Nicole in the courtroom. Uh-uh, writers, you gave us too many dishonest red herrings. Shame, shame!
January 8, 2010 at 1:25 pm #9324BonoSugaRayParticipantI agree AGAIN, BonBon! There were so many scenes with EJ was ALONE by himself, paining and in deep worry about where his daughter could be! If he was the mastermind behind it all, why would he act the way he did when NO ONE WAS AROUND?! That’s stupid! And to all the ppl who say THEY KNEW ALL ALONG THAT IT WAS EJ…come on now! Chances are, you all just WANTED it to be him. Because again, there was nothing about his ALONE scenes that would suggest that he was in on it all along. I hate the writers for this one! They just CAN’T allow the EJ character to be a semi-nice guy! Grrrrr! I’m so mad right now.
January 8, 2010 at 2:00 pm #9325jewelgalParticipantdo you know this wasn’t just a dream of Anna’s or anything??????
I’m disappointed……but I s’pose he’s doing this to try and get Sami back in some weird twisted way??????
January 8, 2010 at 2:31 pm #9328DeeLanParticipant……………..he was separated from Sidney. Even though he knew where she was he had to keep his distance from her or risk someone finding out his part.
January 8, 2010 at 4:55 pm #933153tdogsParticipantThat’s not twisted for the writer’s to write that EJ was involved this way, it’s divious and lame. They could have given us a much better person(s). I particulary liked the premise that some of you came up with of Victor and Anna working together…Anna for revenge on Tony and Victor to get under Demira’s skin. EJ to get Sami back? Oh come on…
January 8, 2010 at 6:05 pm #9337loritrollParticipantWhen you suggested that the other day, I thought "What a great twist!" and here is coming true! Knowing the things he’s done to win Sami in the past (marriage arranged by Stephano, faking paralysis, needing a green card), I’m not surprised that he’s once again done something to draw him and Sami closer. LOVE this twist!!!
January 8, 2010 at 6:08 pm #9338loritrollParticipantI’m a HUGE EJ fan, just like you. But, I love his bad side more than his good. Granted, I wish there was more of a balance of good, like he had when he and Sami were married and he was trying to be a better person. But, EJ is a bad guy. He just has to have that side to him. It’s a huge part of who he is. And, I think he’d lose some of his appeal if he became all "good and wonderful" all of the sudden.
January 8, 2010 at 7:00 pm #9343kayParticipantI suspected him all along mostly because this is so like him. Finally the writers brought back the real EJ and not that fake who was pretending to be someone else, trying to get sami to accept and love him. Welcome back the true EJ.
January 8, 2010 at 7:33 pm #9347justwonderingParticipantThere is a old saying that a tiger cannot change its stripes. We all knew from day one that EJ was a snkae. Yes he is good looking and charming and well dressed and confident etc but in the end he is a snake. He had an agenda from day one—Sami. I think you can say that he is OCD ( obsessive compulsive disorder). I would also bet that he is not use to losing, not to Lucas and Not to Rafe and esecially could not forgive lying and sneaking ( only HE can do that). THe best revenge is to make SAmi suffer and at the same time get close to him.
Perhap at the start the writers hadn’t decided that HE would be the mastermind, but in the end HE is evil. If he truly loved Sydney, he would not thrown her out when he found out the truth. He has not concern for Sydney, she is just his property. He kept talking about mourning a child that was not his, that he thought that he never knew his daughter. Nothing kept him from knowing Grace he wanted no part of her because he didn’t think he was connected to her. He raised Sydney from birth and threw her away like yesterday’s garbage!!!
There is no redeeming EJ in my eyes, starting with the "rape" and ending with his attitude toward Sydney. He might be a hunk but he is bad news!!!
January 8, 2010 at 8:14 pm #9355BonoSugaRayParticipantEnough with the RAPE talk, folks! He did no such thing.
January 8, 2010 at 9:02 pm #9371drea4713ParticipantWhat would you call it if it wasn’t rape? Coercion? Whatever you call it, it was wrong and cruel. I am still mad that the show let a child be conceived out of that experience.
January 8, 2010 at 9:26 pm #9375BonoSugaRayParticipantI wouldn’t call it rape, that’s for sure. BUT, if he DID rape her, it wouldn’t be the first time a DOOL character has raped somebody! How soon do we forget our beloved Samantha raping Austin? So on and forth…If she can be redeemed and forgiven, why can’t/couldn’t EJ?! Is this just b/c he’s a MAN and she’s a WOMAN?!
January 8, 2010 at 9:54 pm #9382CatLady54ParticipantOr that Sami was date raped by Alan. And in the ’60’s, Bill Horton got drunk and raped his sister-in-law Laura.
After watching yesterdays show, I felt that EJ was treating Sami the same way he forced her to have sex with him. (And yes it was rape – he would not save Lucus’ life unless she had sex with him – it was wrong and he has never been punished for it!) He belittles her into not telling Rafe about the note by putting her down and implying she’s not a good mother. Sami has grown alot in the 2 last years but he is still able to get to her insecurities about herself. He is as bad as his father!
January 8, 2010 at 11:09 pm #9392kayParticipantBut that is beside the point. His actions now only prove who EJ really is and the writing him who he really is. He’s the bad guy always will be. The whitewashing and changing his character to make an Ejami pairing possible will finally, hopefully be forgotten and be put to rest. I mean who really wanted to watch that poo?
January 9, 2010 at 12:16 am #9401BonoSugaRayParticipantI and MILLIONS of other fans truly wanted to watch "that poo"! No matter how horrible they TRY to shape this character into being, he’ll always be NUMBER 1 in our hearts!
