Somebody recently posted a photo of the actor, wearing glasses. Got me to wondering if he wears contacts and they are bothersome to him.
In his scenes with Sami over the last few days, his constant rapid blinking has become more of a distraction than usual.
Maybe he needs eye drops or something… OY!

July 29, 2010 at 10:26 am #14978SWParticipantwearing them in photos at fan events?
July 29, 2010 at 12:05 pm #14983BonbonParticipantI don’t even notice it.
July 29, 2010 at 3:05 pm #14990PattiParticipantthat is not a publicity shot or a scene from the show, he is wearing glasses……big, ugly, unattractive, tortoise shell glasses (gazillions of frames that would look marvelous on him) that hide much too much of his face. I think he probably does have to wear glasses and not wearing them when he has to shoot his scenes causes irritation, either from wearing contacts too long or simply shooting scenes without his glasses. Then, again, he could have astigmatism.

August 2, 2010 at 12:19 pm #15082imported_JennMParticipantAnd I’ve worn contacts (but I prefer glasses)… the ONLY time I ever blinked that rapidly was when I was past due to take out my contacts and didn’t have any eye drops. Hence, I prefer glasses.
He doesn’t do it ALL the time, but when he does it it’s very distracting.

Maybe it’s dry in the studio and with the bright lights it can be irritating. Get the guy some visine. How about using that as a lame product placement! It would make SENSE.

August 6, 2010 at 3:45 am #15207DeeLanParticipantI went through a period about 15-20 years ago where I blinked constantly and it drove me nuts. My head and eyes ached from the blinking. I went to the opthamologist and he had me see an opthamoligic neurologist. The thought there was a neurological problem that was causing it. I remember going through a battery of different eye and nerve tests. Turns out there was nothing wrong and I eventually stopped but at the time it wasn’t anything I had control over.
