I must say that Elvis makes one sexy Elvis!!! Cutie batootie in those tight white pants! I loved that Nicole siad they should take a picture of him and send it to his mother!
Bo and Hope. I thought hope looked great as a pirate, Bo ….sorry not so much. Jenn and Dan looked awesome. Abby and Mel seriously? a french maid? i guess Chad grabs Mel from behind and kisses her. i thought they would have masks on or something.
I thought it was great seeing all the kids at the pub. Ally was really cute in her little 60’s outfit. Abe and Lexi looked really great too.
October 28, 2011 at 9:16 pm #28106PattiParticipantEOM!
October 28, 2011 at 10:20 pm #28112BonoSugaRayParticipantEJ was HOT! He and Nicole had the best costumes, IMO.
October 29, 2011 at 3:03 am #28117shadowParticipantMost of the characters looked very real in their costumes. BUT, I thought E.J. and Rafe both looked like cartoon characters with the Elvis wigs. I grew up in the Elvis era, but his hair never looked that ridiculous.
I have to wonder if that was Jack that kept stalking Jenn. If it was him and he lied to Jennifer about being in London. Typical Jack.
October 29, 2011 at 11:55 am #28124BonbonParticipantI thought Bo looked great and even his speech sounded like a pirate.
Like Patti, I thought everyone looked great. Although what Marlena was supposed to be, I have no idea. She never even used the mask. Maybe a costume was beneath her. I’m sure John could have called up the costume store and had one ready for her to wear, at least that was what I was expecting.
I know they probably did it because it’s what we want to see but why doesn’t anybody make their own costumes anymore? That was the thing I always looked forward to at Halloween, the creativity of the costume making. I remember when I was in second grade, my mother made me an entire dress, hat, and boots out of newspapers and taped the masthead from the Chicago Tribune across my chest. And I won first prize with it. To me, that’s much more fun than just going and renting one.
The most creative one I ever saw was a couple who had wired their clothing to look like the wind was blowing real strong and they had attached newspaper pages, hot dog wrappers, and stuff that would have blown off the street onto them. The guy held an inside-out umbrella and the woman had brushed her hair way out to one side and sprayed it well so it would stay there. VERY creative.
October 29, 2011 at 1:08 pm #28137SWParticipantRafe/EJ. I did think that Rafe looked more like Elvis than EJ. Nicole did not look like the Priscilla that I remember – while the hair was the right color, it was way too short to be like Priscilla Presley. I wasn’t very impressed with Sami’s costume – it made her look way too young. I felt bad for Johnny’s twin as she was again leftout of the having a father there but I guess Austin was pretending to be her father for the night.
October 29, 2011 at 5:43 pm #28153NoraParticipantI thought Bo did great with the voice and the story he told the kids, I just didnt care for the scarf on his head, i guess his head looked too round, he would have looked better with a hat on. lol. but I do agree that everyone looked awesome. wasnt sure what Maggie was supposed to be either. it’s so nice they are doing holidays. i hope they put this much into Christmas this year.
October 30, 2011 at 11:21 am #28169luckeyParticipantcharacters from "Grease" that were played by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. With that in mind, I think Rafe’s hair was more in line with his character than EJ’s hair supposedly depicting Elvis Presley.
October 30, 2011 at 10:14 pm #28189GoldenDaysFanParticipantBo’s face looked rounder than normal. I think a pirate hat with a built-in braid in back would have looked better. Hope looked great, as usual.
November 1, 2011 at 3:43 am #28219drea4713ParticipantThat right there is why I don’t like Hlalloween. I am NOT creative, but my mom always was. Every year when we said what we wanted to be, she would come up with a way to make it. I can never think of anyting for my kids and it’s SO frustrating.
November 1, 2011 at 11:11 am #28222BonbonParticipantAnd it’s why they have costume shops. It’s just that it seems more and more are moving away from the home-made costumes and just buying/renting them.
A comment on my trick-or-treaters last night… I think every single kid that came to my door said "thank you" to me and many of them also wished me a happy halloween. Just when you think kids now days are getting worse in their behavior, they do things like this. A couple even commented on my costume and decorations. I guess there’s hope for the next generation after all.
As for my "Scream" costume, I only really scared two kids. They both let out a yell and turned around to leave. One, a boy of about 10, asked me to please take off the mask before he’d come back to the door for his "treat." :o)
November 1, 2011 at 12:43 pm #28226dvalParticipantI thought Bo looked good. Very Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).
Elvis…sorry he is just always so smarmy I don’t care if he’s stark naked, not appealing to me. The condescending way he spoke to Marlena (who in case he has forgotten is a psychiatrist).
Brady’s costume completely made me laugh. I don’t know what it is about those gladiator costumes they just always crack me up.
I thought maybe Maggie was supposed to be like the roaring 20’s with those feathers around her neck? Best I could come up with although she looked great.
November 1, 2011 at 8:58 pm #28245majencoParticipantI loved the way Marlena put EJ in his place! I am not a huge Marlena fan like so many others but since she has returned she has been much more fiesty and fun than I remember her being in the past.
