This character is a rare bright spot for me lately. I just love his A to B approach to situations which I find refreshing and he is so likeable. He and Ciara could be an interesting match if only the actress was more dynamic. I’m not quite as down on her as some here but a better performance would make this truly a couple to watch.
I still think of Forrest Gump when I watch him, as there is such an air of innocence and purity about him. It was really sweet when Ciara took Theo’s hand today. He’s definitely my favorite teen.
anyone notice him in the J. C. Penney ads? He’s very good as Theo Carver, and works well with Vivian Jovanni (Ciara). They compliment each other because they are both so caring about one another more than they are for themselves.
that he is also a terrible actor but his acting comes across as autistic. Think about it. If we didn’t know he was autistic, he’d be getting the same acting criticism as Ciara and Joey.
that his acting would be the same if his character wasn’t autistic and we can’t know that. I for one am going with he is doing a fine job with his part. by the same token I am in the minority…I like Joey. Ciera still hasn’t grown on me.
only that it could be. Look at Ciara. What if we found out she was mentally “challenged” or had some kind of former brain injury. That could make her acting perfectly acceptable to us. Just a hypothetical here.
