IMO this arrogant brat is getting worse. Yes, she was always a problem child but I found her fun to watch and was willing to give her a pass because I found something “forgiveable” in her.
Lately, it seems Days is consciously making her a badder girl who I am finding it more difficult to root for. What nerve she had to dump Madison, falling for the umpteenth time for Kate’s bs which I cannot fathom at this point.
I mean she shares nothing with her husband who she clearly does not deserve, was blatantly unprofessional in her job and talks the talk about how she’s this great mom, but doesn’t walk the walk. Not to mention the EJ bit.
Now tell me, what good is there left in Sami Brady?December 29, 2011 at 12:09 am #2999053tdogsParticipantMiss Samantha Jean Brady-Reed-Walker-Roberts-DiMera-Hernandez-and who ever has the unfortunate luck to cross her path in the future…I just shake my head when I watch her now…I had to literally take a three month break because she (and her shinanigans) drove me up the flippin’ wall…

Goody
December 29, 2011 at 1:42 pm #29996luckeyParticipantG-e-n-e after a former male character in the show. I could be wrong, but that’s what I recall.
December 29, 2011 at 1:49 pm #29997luckeyParticipantcouch encounter with SleezEJ. I laughed when Brady and Madison were giving her hell on her way out the door because they were all talking like she’s this icon of administrative assistants with talent beyond anything anyone could have imagined. I’ve also noticed that the character of Sami is now wearing a lot more makeup and looking (or trying to look) like some sophisticated, working-in-the-fast-lane executive-type…NOT!
December 29, 2011 at 3:14 pm #29999mommytutuParticipantAfter watching Wed. episode, all I can say is Sami is dumb as dirt!!! Did she actually think Madison and Brady would be o.k. with her going to work with Kate? Did she forget all of the wicked things Kate has done to her over the years? She said she left for the money. There is no amount of money a person could offer me if they had tried to have me killed or destroyed my marriage a couple of times. She never even gave Madison and Brady a chance to offer her more money. This story is lame and Sami is too stupid to see the set-up. I think the writers are planning to have Sami lose it all this year–Rafe, her "career," her children, etc. I guess it’s another way to have stories that focus on Sami. If they would write less for her and have less storyline focusing on her, I think I could tolerate the character more. At this point, I couldn’t care less about anything having to do with Sami.
December 29, 2011 at 3:55 pm #30000justwonderingParticipantI cannot understand why there wouldn’t have been a non compete clause in her contract. It is usually standard, especailly in the same geographical area.
December 29, 2011 at 4:19 pm #3000353tdogsParticipantspell her middle name.
December 29, 2011 at 9:29 pm #30004SWParticipantnot reality. Just keep repeating this one! lol
December 29, 2011 at 9:52 pm #30006dvalParticipantwhen Sami realizes she put Will in the same place she was in when she caught Marlena and John doing the deed it will smack her upside the head and make her grow up. I keep hoping they will let her mature but they keep sending right back down the same old roads. When she made up with John before he left Salem I had high hopes but…no such luck. When she met Rafe I thought finally…but nope. (Oh and let’s not talk about the fact that she is taking a new job without so much as a two word discussion with her husband..nope, jump first and think later Sami.) It is totally unbecoming for a character as old as she is supposed to be to behave in such a childish manner all the time.
December 29, 2011 at 9:53 pm #30007PattiParticipantAs soon as Kate walked in the door, she was as snarky and demanding as all hell about getting Sami’s answer. Kate: "Tell me I haven’t wasted my time coming over here." Sami: Good morning to you, too, Kate — would you like some coffee?" Kate: "No, let’s get this over with shall we? Are you going to accept my offer or not?" Right then and there, all the bells and wistles should have gone off in Sami’s mind; but, no, she trades quips instead and then takes Kate’s offer. Too bad, Sami, as much as I (and I realize I’m alone) still love ya’, once again you have proven, beyond a doubt, the subject of this post. Too bad the writers have seen to destroy you even more than I could have imagined.
December 29, 2011 at 9:57 pm #30008PattiParticipantMadison and Brady were pretty p.o.’d, but offered no threat except for an occasional "how could you?" so I’m thinking that because of their relationship, she didn’t even have a contract.
December 30, 2011 at 1:35 am #30010justwonderingParticipantWhile I agree with you feelings about Sami I must point out that Rafe took his job with Carrie without talking to Sami, so they are two of a kind on making decisions without speaking to their partner.
December 30, 2011 at 2:32 am #3001453tdogsParticipantI’ve been hoping and wishing for years! But when I read the first line of your post, the first thought that went through my head was "Yeah, when piggies fly!"
After 15 years I’ve been waiting for Sami to grow up (and I’m not talking about the few temper tantrums that she really deserved to throw because of what happened over her life to her) B-U-T…it’s just not going to happen, it’s rinse and repeat for this character.
I know from reading you all’s posts over the years (I’ve only been watching for about 21 years) there have been characters that have been hell-on-wheels when they were younger and the show has let them grow up. Bo comes to mind, heck, even little ol’ Melly is growing up! Wasn’t Jennifer a wild-child ? (Before my time). But there has to be a few…I just cannot for the life of me why the show thinks that we like this character of Sami this way after all these years.
December 30, 2011 at 2:39 am #30015DeeLanParticipantWhen the show first started Julie was a hellion. Her first episode she was caught shoplifting. She didn’t stop her wild ways until she married Doug and he tamed her.
