Am I the only one who has to ff through the scenes of EJ with Real Rafe? He is so smug and taunting and insulting, telling Rafe he has an ego problem because he cannot accept that someone else could be just like him. And that faux Rafe, well, if somebody doesn’t figure this out ASAP I am giving up on this show. He is SOOOOO different than real Rafe, whether you like that character or not.
I might have missed this. Does anyone know what it is that Stefano wants Rafe to talk about? I know Stefano keeps telling Rafe he needs to talk, but I have never heard him say about what.
February 11, 2011 at 1:18 am #20835NoraParticipantfrom what I gathered from EJ, they are keeping Rafe alive to get the missing parts they dont know about for R2 (Patti I love that R2. haha) No you arent the only one that HATES this SL. I cant stand it. I posted that early about how EJ’s smuggness drives me crazy. his stupid laugh too. it makes you just want to smack the crap out of him. UGH! I have to watch it live, my dvr is in ohio. I tend to flip the channel when they are on though. I have a problem though of watching something different then watch it on dvr when I’m at home the time it’s on. dont know why. I know I’m addicted.
February 11, 2011 at 1:30 am #20836jesigirl22ParticipantI hate th is SL!! I am ffing through most of these scenes: the ones with EJ taunting realRafe and starting to ff through the ones with Sami and R2. I just don’t get how you could not know that was not your husband. If someone replaced my husband with a look alike, I would know right away that something was up. Stop with the concussion excuse; it does not fly! Please don’t let this drag on too long or there won’t be anything left worth watching on the show (spoken by a fan of over 20 years)
February 11, 2011 at 2:53 am #2083753tdogsParticipantSL when John (sigh and for him)…was John/nhoJ – don’t want to see this again. Come up with something NEW writers!!!
February 11, 2011 at 3:34 am #20838caseyParticipantkids – this time Allie – to coerce his evil deeds is unconsiconable. And once again Sami is made to look a fool. Heck, just the little Nicole has seen of NuRafe has made her more suspicious than Sami. I am not happy at all over this wretched storyline.
February 11, 2011 at 12:37 pm #20840BonbonParticipantthat Stefano wants answers from Rafe to give Rafe2 more information to make him more believable. But what I don’t understand is why this Rafe2 is there in the first place. AFAICS, it’s only to torture Sami. But if she doesn’t know who he is, it can’t be affecting her. And as far as tortuing Rafe, why?
I guess I’m on the wrong side of the fence again because, although it isn’t great, I don’t think this SL is that bad. I enjoy watching the little nuances that Rafe2 has that makes him different than Rafe1. I think the actor is doing a great job.
But it’s so true about EJ. Can he get any more dispicable? I just wish, as someone else mentioned previously, that they’d at least give him some goodness once in a while. They have always done that in the past. I don’t think there’s ever been a villian on Days that hasn’t shown a least a touch of humaness at times. I always think of Angelica Devereaux, whom I hated with a passion, but then she’d come up with some tenderness and I’d think she was human afterall.
February 11, 2011 at 1:33 pm #20841bluebonnetParticipantplace, I thought I understood that the plan was for Sami to eventually get tired of Rafe2’s ways and cast him aside. Then, I guess EJ would get rid of the real Rafe. That way, no Rafe to be around at all. I could be just dreaming this up, but I thought that was the plan. EJ never really said it outright, but sort of implied it.
February 11, 2011 at 2:02 pm #20843DeeLanParticipantFrom what I understand Rafe 2 was first created when Rafe was searching for Anna. Stefano was going to replace him so Rafe would be no threat but nobody would know Rafe was gone. Since Rafe never found Anna he put that plan on hold. Now they’re using Rafe 2 to turn Sami against Rafe which EJ is happy about because there goes Sami’s "happily ever after" and Rafe 2 is going to back EJ on a lot of things and keep reminding the kids how great EJ is. I guess they’re going to use Rafe 2 in order to turn the kids against Sami.
February 11, 2011 at 2:03 pm #20844dvalParticipantI turn the volume off when EJ is on with Rafe. I, too, would love to smack the crap out of EJ, LOL.
February 11, 2011 at 2:04 pm #20845dvalParticipantThanks DeeLan. Missed it or forgot it!
February 11, 2011 at 2:06 pm #20846PattiParticipantand I can’t wrap my head around these writers for doing it. Not only is E.J. portrayed as more despicable than I ever believed him to be (and I thought I couldn’t possibly hate him more than in the past), but this sudden turn-around he is supposed to have that he will ‘see the light’ once he gets hit with cupid’s arrow the first time he lays eyes on Taylor (laughing up sleeve) is just too much to swallow. I wouldn’t even be surprised if he doesn’t pull her into his scheme somehow. Now, R2 has Brady suspicious of his mannerisms as well. How many people will it take to see through this guy and put 2 and 2 together before I have any hair left on my head? I thought it was a good move when real Rafe made R2 stop and think about what they were going to do with him once this was over. Maybe he will be the one to reveal the truth, but if in fact this SL continues through late spring, I have to wish, more than ever before, that the DiMeras are on their way out. Every time E.J. or Stefano comes downstairs and gets close enough to those bars on that cell, I keep hoping that once Rafe regains his strength, he will reach through, grab them, and bash their brains in against the very bars that hold him prisoner. As for E.J.’s reasonings for even doing this in the first place, it’s always been my belief that it has nothing to do with his children, but simply that he hates Rafe for winning his fair ‘Samanther’ and nothing else. He is determined to destroy any chance she has at happiness, and this is one time when karma cannot come knocking at the DiMeras door soon enough for me.
February 11, 2011 at 5:09 pm #20848caseyParticipantthat Galen is doing a great job in a dual role. But the ludicrousness (is that a word?) for me is that Faux Rafe is not at all subtle in his differences from the real thing, and everyone keeps blaming it on his accident.
