I must be the mom from hell. This little twit would be at military school or in jail, if he were mine. And I sure as hell wouldn’t be writing checks to him. He needs to work to regain trust and he’s done nothing to show that he’s changed or trust-worthy.
June 4, 2013 at 2:19 pm #39907PattiParticipantDaniel has been nothing but nice to this little ingrate, going out of his way to try and make him comfortable, yet all the while realizing that he has no intention of trying to replace his father in his life. He is a delinquent in every sense of the word, and if they are going to save this kid, they better do it soon before someone seriously has to pay for his stupidity. Then, again, maybe that’s what it’s going to take.

1.When I said he was not that bad, I meant the actor was portraying a young man who feels that he has been wrong. I was referring to the fact that some have said that he was not a good actor. I maintain that he is a good actor judgin by all the comments about him.
2. Many people have stated that they thought it was not belivable that a 17 year old would act this way. I was commenting that I thought it was realistic because of his years away from the family, he is stunted emotionally.
3. I never meant to imply that I approved of his behavior, just that I felt it was plausable given his history.
4. As far as Jennifer giving him checks, I believe that she feels very guilty that she sent him to boarding school for so long. JJ also is very good at laying on the guilt, he is no dummy. THe bottom line is Jen is his mom and she wants to believe he is basically a good kid. Yes, he is a brat, but he is still her son.
5. As far as the comment that he would be in military school—he WAS in boarding school, it obviously didn’t work!
6. Yes– he is delinquent. MY point was auppose to be that the actor is doing a good job at selling it. Yes, he has a chip on his shoulder and into drugs, etc, but then again Melanie was a thief, liar and brat when she first came on. Nobody has a bigger chip on his shoulder than Chad! On the VERY first DOOL episode was about Julie shop lifting at a department store. Remember when Lucas came back from military school? Let’s not forget Sami trying to get rid of Belle, so I don’t think this story line is so different from ALL the troubled teens on this show through the year.
YEs, Patti, I think that they are making him bad so he can be redeemed as so many others have been!! Finally, I was speaking of the actor playing the part of a mixed up, angry young man and doing it well especially since he never acted before.
