Kirstie is gone. It’s about time. But Gilles? Come on, even the odds makers were calling it Kirstie and Emmet. I just don’t see Emmet as being that good a dancer. (It’s all those darn football fans he has, I guess.) I couldn’t believe when it came down to Apolo and Gilles. Of course it’s going to be bad from now out but at least it’s the semis.
I was very impressed with Val and Anna last night dancing with the NY ballet dancers. I thought they were every bit as good but then, they are professionals also, just in a different dance form.
I think if I were to pick the best male and female pros it would be Anna and Louie. That would include dancer, choreographer, and instructor.
I cannot understand why they praise Emmett, because I agree he is not very good. Apollo can dance circles around him! Shawn and Derek are great together too.
it’s hard to judge. The judges are sometimes too critical, whereas the general audience is voting for their favorites. Sure, I get that, but I agree that Gilles should have lasted longer than Emmett. It’s not that Emmett isn’t good, but he cannot compare with Gilles’ ability. Guess it’s his popularity, or maybe even Cheryl’s, who seems to be a favorite among the pros. Looks like this is just another example of "it’s not what you know, but WHO," cause Emmett does have a huge fanbase with the football fans and players.
Kirstie was no surprise, but she handled it very well. I think Maks was more disappointed than Kirstie. I hope he gets a chance next season to showcase his amazing talent by getting a great dancing partner. Seems he always gets the short end of the stick.
a decent partner for a change. He always seems to get the very obvious "losers." I don’t know how they pair them up but if it’s intentional, I’m afraid someone doesn’t like Maks very well.
But…I don’t think we’ll see him on the next season. He has hinted at it before.
