Network Star competition and thought the judges were right on the money with the final three.  I was rooting for Tom or Paul, but I did enjoy Aarti too.  I watched her first show yesterday and was a little disturbed by all the repition she did.  The camera guy needs to stop putting the camera in her face so much.  It would be better to pan back a little and let us see her face was well as what she’s doing with her hands.  They do the same thing with last year’s winner’s show, Melissa D’Arabian, which followed Aarti’s yesterday.  I’ll have to look to see if I get the Cooking Network.

I didnt mind her show yesterday,  she didnt explain some stuff, like if you didnt watch FN already, you wouldnt know what she was talking about. I cant think what it was now, it may have been chipottle (sp?)  cant remember.   but  she’ll smooth out after a few episodes,  Melissa still needs some smoothing out but she’s alittle better.  I liked Tom better than Herb.    he kind of annoyed me.  Herb didnt seem to have hardly any good dishes.

maybe because I’m a foodaholic – can’t cook, (well, some things turn out pretty good), but since I have only me and the poochies to cook for now (and they’ll eat anything even the mistakes and ask for more so they are no help in the critique department)…I don’t have a chance to cook as much.

I’m very glad Aarti won – I know (hope) her show get’s better as they settle in to it a bit more.  I wanted to see an explaination of how much of a cup to use in what she was making, etc., but I suppose I could go on the site and get the receipe.  I love spicy, but at my age it doesn’t like me anymore, but still I’d love to learn more about cooking with different spices and ingredients…
