Forgetting about the insane last few seconds of Friday’s episode I found the rest of it to be so compelling I watched it twice.  Now while there was enough scenery chewing emotion to go around I thought everyone did a pretty good job with Will and Rafe being the standouts.  But EJ ohhhh. boy,  that guy doesn’t do grief very well.  I know it’s wrong but when he got the phone call about the boy’s  body being found and he dropped the receiver I laughed out loud.  He was swaying back and forth like he was doing the Hustle!  It was laughable.  Also when he "cries" it seems like laughing to me.  He kills an otherwise awesome episode.

I was laughing too, majenco!!!!  When he was "crying" with Sami on the parlor floor, it definitely looked like he was laughing.  Watching that scene I was wondering if anybody else found his crying laughable or if I was the only one!  He’s such a great actor but like you say he doesn’t do grief very well at all.

sound edited out and just the music playing in that scene.  I thought that was more heartfelt than listening to either one of them.  That was drama for me, just imagining their cries and not really hearing them.

was more powerful than when we could hear him again. It kind of left it to our own imaginations what he was thinking, dealing with, etc.
