So Shane was disguised as Stefano?! Basically we as fans, got to see JM one last time, but as far as the show is concerned, they never really had him. WTH?!? This is so stupid!!!!!!! I just can’t with Days anymore.
I assumed they had Stefano but they got him out of the Prague jail somehow using Shane as a decoy. But I guess this could explain why Stefano never spoke. They did keep mentioning how odd that was.
be the point of this? I surely hope they are not thinking of recasting SD. Why can’t Days let this era go?!!
They should have let Stefano stay and die in jail, and that would have been that. Talk about a show creating it’s own doomsday….they might just have it!!! The poor man couldn’t even speak, or stand for that matter, let alone escape prison. If they insist on staying with this….that Stefano is out there, somewhere, I truly believe they just may have sealed that doom. What was it Marlena said…."well, he’ll probably die from ‘something’." Yes, and so will this show, IMO, and this sl may just be what the grim reaper of the Soap Opera genre is waiting for.
On the other hand, I totally did not understand exactly what it was that Shane and Steve did. We were interrupted, once again, by an "I don’t give a *hit" Trump speech with the Japanese leader, so I couldnt follow exactly what it was that Steve and Shane cooked up. Perhaps someone can explain it to me, because that was the real Stefano DiMera in those scenes, played by the incomparable Joe Mascolo, who clearly was in no position to escape from anyone, anywhere. That was degrading for me to watch.
Shane and Steve knew Stefano was dead–killed by Hope. But they thought there was an injustice because Stefano knew he was dying and provoked Hope to kill him. They did this in order to make everyone believe Stefano was alive so that Hope could get out of prison. I don’t think there’s a recast in the future. Just a way to get Hope out and end this stupid story of Dena Higley’s.
Yes this makes the most sense. This means John probably knew about it and knew Marlena was never in any danger. The whole thing was a set up. If you notice Steve keeps leaving the room and then coming back saying he spoke to the ISA. You never actually saw him speak to anyone. I guess my question is where did they get the DNA? Did they already have Stefano’s DNA?
As many times as Stefano has been caught or declared dead based on DNA, I’m guessing they have a bottle of it stashed away for just this purpose, lol!
I agree that on the silly scale it went off the charts. They knew Joe was not healthy enough to come back for
any significant amount of time so this was the only to bring closure to the story line and get Hope her freedom.
Days really need to get some better writing and hopefully with new writers arriving they will have some original
ideas that advance story line in logical and not contrived fashion. If not, the sands of the hour glass just might be
running out for this show. And that would be a shame.sounds like a movie where they leave you guessing at the end. Is Stefano dead or not, since Shane said that the picture of Stefano feeding the pegeons was not himself.
I find it really insulting because Joe is dead. Why torture us with the Stefano could be alive, knowing, even at the time, that Joe was in very poor health and likely not going to live much longer. Certainly he won’t be reprising the role. They could have just left it as it was, but Higley is such an awful writer she couldn’t do it.
Since Shane and Steve said nobody can ever know what they did while in Prague, of course they are running their mouths about it every time they are alone. So how long will it be before someone overhears them because you know they just won’t shut up.
