Somebody needs to send a whole case of tranqualizers to Salem. And give some to Jennifer, Abby, Daniel, Chad, Kate, and anybody else that has been so breathless, shouting and overacting. It’s really wearing me out.
Seriously, this is getting very tiresome. And there are so many nits to be picked the last couple of days I don’t even know where to begin…
Kate was suddenly all cleaned up when she reached Ian’s room.
Chad and Gabby kept going through the same doors, even one that had cobwebs across it. Didn’t it occur to them if there were cobwebs there, they didn’t come that way?
Again, Brady and Melanie are "knocked out" but suddenly come to perfectly okay. Getting knocked unconscious is a serious thing.
Cameron is delegated to keeping Abby and Jen from leaving yet he is a qualified doctor who should probably be helping the injured???
Wouldn’t the emergency people have emptied everybody out of the building, like, say, Jen and Abby, Adrienne and Justin, people who weren’t helping out? I don’t think they’d even let Bo and Hope stay, even if they are cops. That’s not their job and they are not qualified.
Where did all that debris come from? Just Dan and Bo must have moved enough drywall to build a couple of houses!
Where is all the light coming from in the tunnel(s)? They are trapped with no way out yet it’s all well lit and they have no problem seeing where they are going. Luminescent rock?
On the other hand, Ian’s head injury looked amazing. It hurt just to look at it. Good job from the make-up department at least.
And I can’t really blame the writers for most of this stuff. I’m not sure who would be in charge of these things (the director?) but whoever it is should be fired.
Now, let’s PLEASE move on.
August 15, 2012 at 10:08 pm #34976caseyParticipantI don’t find their scenes involving but tedious and repetitious. Let’s move it on. Same w/Chad and Gabi. I want someone to find out the truth about her. Yes, with all the injured, so stupid for Cameron to be hanging around.
How did Nicole get out and why is Dan constantly calling her Nic now?
Have been impressed with Abby’s acting. That Ian actor is pretty good too.August 15, 2012 at 11:00 pm #34977PattiParticipantthis week while he was holding Madison in his arms. It looked like red plastic bandaids, all dry and shiny. I had to laugh every time he touched Madison’s white dress or her hair or face, and no blood came off on any of it. Other than that, I’ve really been enjoying the show every day. What a performance by IB and LK today. Ian and Kate were best part of today’s show for me.
August 15, 2012 at 11:50 pm #34978NoraParticipantLOL I even thought of that too Patti, her dress sure was staying all nice and white. I feel sorry for Brady. Heck I actually felt a teeny tiny bit sorry for ole Katie.
August 16, 2012 at 3:58 am #34979lynnekarenParticipantthat cracked me up.
August 16, 2012 at 9:42 am #34982BonbonParticipantabout Ian, I thought Kate’s performance was very strained (very good at first but then fading), like she was having a difficult time maintaining her anger.
I don’t know, maybe I’m being too critical but it just seems to me that these post-explosion scenes are not the same quality of soap that I have been watching for so long. It’s almost like the actors are struggling with their performances, not everybody but too many of them. And when you add that to all the little "reality goofs,"… Then, again, maybe I’ve just been watching for too long and I’ve reached my saturation point and just can’t soak up any more.
August 16, 2012 at 1:53 pm #34986PattiParticipantto be one of, if not, THE, best actresses on DOOL. She has carried this Ian/Madison/Kate triangle off so well, and her acting, for me, yesterday was anything but strained. I just hope to see Kate destroy Ian before the actor’s last day, which is August 22nd. I know a lot of people loved Deborah Adair, too; but, for me, LK’s acting chops far exceed DA’s. JMO. Just wish they’d do a make-over on Kate — keep her classy, but dress her more age appropriate, and give her a classy hair-cut, and by lll means it’s time to say goodbye to the blue streak.
August 16, 2012 at 2:43 pm #34988mommytutuParticipantBut I have to agree with some of the points made. I was thinking how did all of the debris and drywall land right on Nicole? Is she a drywall magnet? What the hell happened to Abby? She was fine then went straight into panic mode. I’m still pissed that Jack has gone down the elevator. I would much rather that have been Abby. It sure as heck didn’t take both Cameronand Hennifer to put their arms around her and leave Jack to die. BTW, that is totally impossible! Even in an explosion, there are hydraulics that prevent that from ever happening to an elevator.
as for Kate, she always has the same expression, it kind of bothers me. The whole story is dragging.
August 16, 2012 at 4:18 pm #34992BonbonParticipantdiscussed the elevator thing before but I guess they just choose to ignore it. I guess they think people who watch soap operas are a bunch of idiots.
Another thing I forgot to mention was Melanie giving Brady CPR. As a nurse, she ought to know now that you no longer give breaths, only chest compressions. If anybody watches NY Med they would see REAL nurses doing REAL compressions WITHOUT the breathing. And my question here would be…why did his heart stop? He didn’t have a heart attack, it wasn’t injured, he doesn’t have clogged arteries…
I think they do the public a real disservice when they show things like that wrong.
