Could that scene with Gus have been any more laughable. That was just terrible, TERRIBLE! I hope this isn’t indicative of we’re going to see from the new writers.
September 20, 2011 at 7:56 pm #26655NoraParticipantReally? I just posted earlier on the annex that I thought it was pretty good.
September 20, 2011 at 8:07 pm #26656PattiParticipantThe SPD was not coming at him; sure they were circling the room and trying to avoid approaching him, but he jumped out of nowhere. I thought it was the poorest direction of a scene I’ve seen in this story line so far. It wasn’t convincing to me at all.
September 20, 2011 at 9:54 pm #26667caseyParticipantFirst off, I laughed at how B&H pulled up the incident of Gus being abandoned by his mother and bingo – there was the motive. And then Gus pulling out the knife seemingly out of nowhere. I didn’t see any threat to him at that point.
September 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm #26675DCola522ParticipantI was shaking my head as well at how badly acted/directed this was. Gus jumped into action when no one had so much as walked toward him. Vivian was the one who made a comment about everyone crowding around her. Then he suddenly flies off the handle and pulls out a knife?? It’s just not believable that this character was turned into a horrible guy out of nowhere. He was never written that way before. A little odd, yes, but not violent. Stupid stupid stupid!!
September 21, 2011 at 4:16 pm #26679BonbonParticipantGus had one line that touched me when he said he couldn’t go to jail because who would take care of "Madam." That really showed his true dedication to her.
September 21, 2011 at 8:50 pm #26684PattiParticipantand then said "don’t leave me again." That was pretty touching because it showed me that he really was delusional.
September 22, 2011 at 1:42 am #26686bluebonnetParticipantall the way around. I had to roll my eyes when I saw Taylor talking to Quinn at the jail cell. The bars were so far apart that she could have turned sideways and escaped if they had locked her up! The bars were truly wider than her head.
September 22, 2011 at 3:33 am #26688shadowParticipantthat sleazy Quinn would walk away a free man. The police should just give him the DiMeara name, then Stefano could claim another son and let Chad be.
I kinda feel sorry for Gus because Vivian really treated him terribly. No wonder he went off the deep end. He literally kissed her b***t every time she hanked his chain. And then Quinn came out of the blue and Vivian completely went stupid(suprise, suprise). I hope Roman fires Taylor, but does he have the backbone to do it? She needs to leave YESTERDAY!!!
September 22, 2011 at 4:59 pm #26694justwonderingParticipantI totally who she really agree with you concerning Gus. He was her everything and right hand man and then she dumped him for Quinn. Quinn also treated Gus in a rude manner, never even bothering to learn his correct name. In the end Vivain still didn’t get how badly she treated him and wrote him off for her "darling" Quinn, who she really doesn’t know.
I did enjoy Gus’s comment about darling Quinn—-"….the pimp and drug dealer" yes Quinn is a pillar of the community, right up there with Victor, Stefano and EJ.
September 22, 2011 at 8:32 pm #26698cornbreadParticipantSeriously…I thought that whole scene was very amateur. If the writers would watch one episode of Law and Order SVU- they could have written in more realistically. But the rest of the show is making me happy
September 22, 2011 at 9:35 pm #26701BonbonParticipantdid a very good job though. The rest of it was pretty cheesy but I thought his performace was quite good. I can’t believe how many times they said, "We’re not going to hurt you, man!" OMG
BTW, the scenes between EJ and Nicole are just amazing. They have GOT to put these two together. Sparks fly all over the place when they’re together. I just wish Nicole hadn’t been so cold to him when they were talking. You could see he was really concerned about her. Man, I would have grabbed him and never let him go. Look out, John, somebody is trying to take your #1 spot in my heart.
