At last the material matched my expectations. A lot going on and glad to have Eddie on the road to redemption. Nice to see Hope handling a dangerous procedure and not a guy. And I love Kayla encouraging Steve to be Steve.
October 18, 2016 at 9:18 pm #52416majencoParticipantToday was great! Everyone working together just like old times! I like Chad and Gabbi as a couple but I know that will be ruined. I think JJ’s "I have been shot!" acting to be the best I have seen from him. Steve and Kayla, Jen and Hope, Rafe and Eduardo, everyone was great! Except John who continues to rely on that weird scrunched up facial expression and that creepy whisper voice.
October 18, 2016 at 9:42 pm #52417bradysgmaParticipantIt seemed that all the bombs had already gone off, so what were the bomb squad so busy with that they couldn’t come to Jennifer’s rescue?
October 18, 2016 at 11:05 pm #52420jessad7Participantthinking the same thing! Why would they leave the bomb squad on "clean up" when they have a live bomb and people at risk? Not to mention a high profile detective is requesting help! Loved Marlena today when Hope told her she could leave and she just looked over and said "Jen" and high tailed it out of there. I had to rewind and watch that again!
Also confused why the three escapees are pretty much able to walk all over town and meet up with John and Deimos, etc., multiple times and nobody does anything and Steve can find him in three minutes flat. A lot of holes, but at least things are moving along and there’s a story that’s involving most of the cast. Love seeing everyone work together and seeing Abe and Roman out there a little more.
And why is Rafe just sitting around doing nothing, waiting for the phone to ring? And Hope was just volunteering at the PUB collecting food and keeping an eye on Caroline? Seems like there would be more for them to be doing. Was really hoping Aiden would come to Hope’s rescue and get taken out by the bomb, but no such luck.
October 19, 2016 at 12:36 pm #52423PattiParticipantnow. November Sweeps begin next week (27th or 28th), and they’re closing out the villains sl, and getting ready for the Abigail return, and departures coming to fruition in November and December, and then closing out the year and preparing sls for some favorite/not so favorite returns. What bugs me is the writers still are not giving me what I want to see; family oriented sls, some love and romance, holiday celebrations (will we even see any Halloween celebrating, or even costume parties). I am sick and tired of the darkness; it’s time to let in some light. If not, I’m almost afraid to believe, with the decision approaching sooner than we think about a renewal for DOOL, without some drastic changes for the better, are we expecting a cancellation of DOOL by or even before September 2017, when their contract expires? I certainly hope not, but honestly, I don’t know any other way to think about the mess we’ve had to accept for Days of our Lives. Are we going to lose this show???? Wake up Quan/Higley/Corday/ …. NBC/SONY ….. which of you is responsible for painting this beloved soap opera into a corner. That being said, which of you is/are brave enough to fight your way out and save this sinking ship. Why do we have to start thinking of doom instead of salvation? This long and faithful fan wants some answers.
October 19, 2016 at 12:57 pm #52424caseyParticipanttruly believes in their direction? And is budget really the reason for no Halloween events? I loved those costume parties of old. But no reason for the total negative blanket on this show. When do the teens ever have fun?
Yesterday was a a rare must watch for me but episodes like this are few these days. Hopefully Abby’s return will spark interest and we can get beyond this everlasting tedious Aiden thing and I’d like to see Marlena in shrink duty which isn’t just about her family. And yes a dynamic new romance.October 19, 2016 at 3:21 pm #52425lynnekarenParticipantOnce again, I couldn’t agree more. I just want to be excited about the show again!! It’s been so long.
(And PLEASE replace Ciara! I just can’t with her.)
