with today being CB’s last day, I expect a lot of tears, a whole lot of goodbyes from everybody connected to her, and a final blow-up OTT performance from SSH (Julie). Personally, I’m ready to say goodbye to Gabi. I did like the scene yesterday between her and T, especially when she told him “sometimes I love you.” He didn’t say it, but I think he knew right then that Nick was playing him when he claimed to be talking to Gabi and said she felt sorry for T. At least I hope he did.
I was dumbstruck when she asked Jordan to text and e-mail her often regarding Rafe, though. Ummm, you are going to the “pen-i-ten-tiary” Gabi, not the Ritz Carlton or even the Salem jail. Since when do they allow you to bring your cell phone and/or a laptop. Those rights evidently are only reserved for Sami Brady. (LOL) Sometimes these writers just don’t think before they put pen to paper (which is most of the time)!
June 12, 2014 at 7:00 pm #44199BonbonParticipantwait untill you see it today. It looks like it still hasn’t been washed but now it’s all scruntched up too. Ugh! Horrible.
June 12, 2014 at 10:14 pm #44201caseyParticipanta bigger sendoff than many other more prominent characters. Definitely some of her finest acting.
June 12, 2014 at 11:53 pm #44204PattiParticipanteom.
June 13, 2014 at 6:50 am #44205BonbonParticipantI wrote than under “Sami’s hair.” How it got here, I have no idea. But…regarding Gabi…
You have to hand it to her today. She really knocked it out of the park. It was realistic, heartfelt and it certainly evoked tears from this fan. Her performance was right up there with the best of them. I expected some tears but not what I ultimately shed. It was truly a stellar performance.
I wish her good luck in her career, She has proved to me she has what it takes to make it in this business.
June 13, 2014 at 11:42 am #44208PattiParticipantbut I find that to be the case with lots of actors coming to life just before they are leaving. Don’t know why that happens, but it does …. for me anyway.
June 14, 2014 at 3:17 am #44220TFlo1018ParticipantThey shine on their way out b/c they’re happy to not recite this dribble LOL… Just a thought. Goodbye Gabi – you won’t be missed though.
June 14, 2014 at 12:18 pm #44221PattiParticipantHAHAHA!
June 15, 2014 at 1:28 pm #44222justwonderingParticipantWell it certainly is better than going up stairs at the pub and never being seen again!!!
I thought CB really showed her talent. Too bad TPTB didn’t let her shine more in the first place!
Really sorry that there was no ending for Johny and Sydney!
June 16, 2014 at 11:03 am #44225KseeParticipantbig whoop!! major characters like Bo didn’t get as good of a send off as she did I find that insulting to the viewers!!
June 16, 2014 at 1:43 pm #44227justwonderingParticipantLot of hard feelings about BO as TPTB wanted him to stay for far less money and he said no.
Often times, major characters seem to slip out of town quietly or go to mail a letter never to be seen again.
I enjoyed the goodby.
June 17, 2014 at 2:15 pm #44243TopazParticipantI have my DVR set to record DOOL every day, but for some unknown reason, it doesn’t record it about once a month. Last Thursday, when Gabi said her goodbyes, the show wasn’t recorded. No more SoapNet for reruns, either. On top of that, the sound is not working on my computer, so at nbc.com, all I can watch is a silent DOOL episode (with no closed captions). Bummer.
June 19, 2014 at 5:26 am #44286BrandyParticipantsame way. Sometimes, it’s just the relationship TPTB have with the actor at that time. You put it very well in Bo’s case. I enjoyed the good-bye of Gabi, also. She did a grand job at the end.
