The Phoenix will rise again. I wonder how soon. Maybe when the new writers begin?
But will they ever be able to fix the Stefano/EJ debacle? I don’t know how, unless Stefano finds out the information he had was wrong. Nevertheless, he would NEVER have disowned EJ as his son, blood or not.
I know it says "sources" say there are future plans in the works, but "sources" could be anyone from the cast to NBC to the new writers, etc. I know for a fact that the show doesn’t reveal it’s future plans, and most times spoilers are vague, to say the least. I still think it’s all up to Joe’s contract, whether he has plans to retire or he will re-sign, or even be asked to re-sign, although I doubt the latter. Joe is such a staple, like Ali Sweeney, I think if and when they do go for good, it will be their choice. So, for now anyway, I’m taking Joe on his word that Stefano is dead and gone and will definitely be off the show, at least until we know for sure whether or not he has re-signed. I have to check and see when his actual contract ends.
loyalty to La famiglia unless it benefits Stefy – didn’t Stefano put Lexie in the caves all those years ago and didn’t he kill Benji (who was his son also)…and didn’t he mess with Tony somewhat also who were "all "his" children" (Pardon pun)…? So Stefano being Stefano…to me, it wouldn’t be such a reach for him to "toast" EJ –
If I remember correctly it was Andre that had Lexie in the tunnel and it was either Andre or EJ that killed Benji for body parts. I seem to remember Stefano being very upset when he heard Benji was dead.
As much as I hated that corny Santo and John’s mother storyline, it always showed EJ being the spitting image of Santo. Now how on earth is that possible if Stefano is not the daddy of EJ? I could accept John being his dad, that would make him a Dimera still, but I don’t think the writers want to go there. I honestly don’t know what the writers were thinking. I also hate the way they have now ruined things for Stefano and Lexi and Stefano and Kate. Joe worked so well with both actresses and I just don’t like how this has ended. I’m not a Stefano fan, but I respect Joe for his dedication to the show and I hate to see actors treated so poorly.
The writers have changed SO much history of our show over the years when it doesn’t fit what they want to write now…They just "poo-poo" what we fans know as history of the show and ignore it. No wonder we are left wondering and scratching our heads saying, "WTH???? What was that????"
They have no concept that we pay very close attention to the history of our show…and what we don’t know about the show, (or as in my case, can remember only vaguely) we have the fan sites, the internet, family and friends that can remember for us exactly what happened.
At least when they rewrote history in "Dallas" – when Bobby came out of the shower and told Pam, "it was just a dream" that was so much more believable than what the writers on DOOL do by completely ingnoring the show’s "historical" facts!
and read the spoilers for next week and two weeks, it refers to Steafno’s "death", noting the quotation marks. So what does that mean to everyone? Well we haven’t seen his body yet and Chad said he was already under the sheet when he got there so….just a ploy for the shooter to think he/she got away with murder and make them careless?
