Doug (Bill Hayes) was born in 1925. Surely this cannot be true. That would make him 88 and 18 years older than his wife. I know there’s a big age difference there but not 18 years. I would say he’s more like 82/83?
It seems plausible. Julie was quite young when Doug came to town. I do remember reading something once about Susan and Bill having a huge age gap between them and her mom not being too happy about it when they first got together.
Bill Hayes (Doug) is indeed 88 years old (on June 5). Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie) turned 70 on July 11. They have been married since 1974.
