Just thought I’d let you know I’m going to have my SOD surgically corrected.  I’m having attacks every day and the doc says my pancreas is not able to secrete the enzymes necessary to digest my food so it’s going right through me.  I’m just waiting for a date now and it can’t be soon enough.

though you had me going, "Huh?" When I saw "SOD" all I thought of was "Soap Opera Digest" and I started going how do you surgically remove a magazine?! lol  Hope that took your mind off the upcoming surgery for a few minutes.  I guess that’s where my mind goes when I’m on a soap site!

Sphincter of Odii Disorder, a tube that allows your liver enzymes to flow into the small intestine to help digest food.  Mine goes into spasm and the enzymes back up into the pancreas causing a GREAT deal of pain.  Ask DeeLan, she has experienced the same thing.  I can’t get it fixed fast enough.  I’ll let you know when I have a date for the surgery.

Yeah, I remember the first time was about a month after I had my gallbladder removed.  I was doubled up on the bathroom floor and told the doc if I could have moved I would have been in the ER.  It hurt worse that the gallbladder attack.

you are having more health problems, and I pray that you can soon get relief from that painful disorder, SOD.    If surgery is the only way to get relief, I pray that you can have the surgery and have a speedy recovery.    God Bless.

For as much as you’ve been through, you must feel that enough is enough, right?  My thoughts and prayers will be with you when you have your surgery, and I’m sure God will be watching out for you, as He has in the past.  Hope to hear from you soon that your surgery was a complete success and that you are on the road to a complete recovery.
