been wondering where you were! I do not like the overseas games – it’s cheating the US fans and it does not seem like American football.
Does it seem to you like Aaron hasn’t been quite Aaron-like this year so far? Especially with his boy Jordy back. I always root for him as he is such an exciting player and will be watching come Sunday.October 4, 2016 at 2:11 pm #52317PattiParticipantWe owed the Jags a payback for that win, since they did exactly the same thing to us last season. This week, however, was a heartbreaker for our Ravens. I still feel like we should have beaten the Raiders; but, so many things went wrong in the first half. That being said, I have to switch hats and put football aside for tonight and root, root, root for our O’s in the wild card game. Not particularly happy it’s in Toronto, though! LOL! Just hope Chris Tillman is on his game tonight, and our bats are loaded. This has been such an exciting year for the O’s, but, as we all know, the wild card game is one and out, so GOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOO’S!
October 5, 2016 at 2:13 am #52323powerpaw2ParticipantI heard you still have to pay for all season tickets and if you don’t fly to London to watch that game, oh well.
I agree about Aaron. He seems out of sync. Hopefully he’ll get it together. I was at the Packers-Jags game and sort of held my breath the first time Jordy came down on his knee.
Sunday will be fun. I have friends in VA and WI who are Packers fans. We have a group text over our phones. Good times! The Giants didn’t look too shiny last night. Hopefully that will continue Sunday!
October 5, 2016 at 12:39 pm #52328caseyParticipantWhy oh why didn’t Buck use Britton??? The best closer sits on the bench with the season on the line? I heard what the manager tried to explain on that bonehead decision and not buying. The straight line to victory led to Zack, not some pitcher with a 5plus ERA.
I can only imagine Baltimore radio this morning – are fans calling for Showalter’s head? This ranks up with Pete Carroll and the Super Bowl gaffe!
Patti, you must be tearing your hair out! I hate that Toronto moves on.October 5, 2016 at 12:40 pm #52329PattiParticipantBe still my achey breaky heart! Bad move by Showalter putting Ubaldo in when the score was tied. Wonder how he feels today having the best closer in baseball and never using him in a one and done game, and having your decision cost us the game. I’m hoping for some big changes showing up next season.
October 10, 2016 at 1:18 pm #52360caseyParticipantOh baby, 3 in a row for the Bills! That hasn’t happened in 5 years. Still cautious until they play a good QB, but enjoying the moment. Sorry Patti to see your loss, but it looks to be a season where parity can bounce teams around.
And PowerPaw, nice to see Aaron looking better last night.
As for my BBall RedSox I saw this coming. They are slumping at the worst time!October 10, 2016 at 10:11 pm #52361PattiParticipantput on by our Ravens. So many things went bad for us; I could go on and on, but I’ll just name a few and then put it in the books! horrible play calling; weak offensive line; Flacco overthrowing when he did get the chance to; primary receivers unable to get open downfield, causing check downs to tight ends and running backs instead; gave up on ground game; above all, poor coaching decisions yesterday. Ugh, ugly game for the Ravens. Hope to see an improvement before we get to the really good teams. If not, OUCH is all I can say at this point. Trestman turning into a disappointment and Harbaugh better watch for the hot seat, cause another display like yesterday, and his butt will be on it. Buschemi might be a "hands off" owner, but he’s not blind and he knows the game.
Late Edit: Ravens Offensive Coordinator, Trestman, was fired this morning! No surprise there! Now, just hoping we didn’t go from the frying pan to the fire. I’m not sure, but I think I read we promoted from within the franchise.
October 10, 2016 at 10:32 pm #52366caseyParticipantthe same thing happened with the OC as the Bills. Hope it does the trick for you!
October 11, 2016 at 2:36 am #52367PattiParticipantas "Buschemi" and it’s "Bisciotti". Must have the actor on my mind. LOL!
October 12, 2016 at 1:36 am #52370powerpaw2ParticipantDak Prescott is doing a great job for Dallas, so my guys will need to bring their A-game.
October 17, 2016 at 12:25 pm #52407PattiParticipantand this superfan is losing faith for the season already. Beween the insurmountable penalties, along with the injuries crippling the Ravens, this season is slowly going down the drain, and yes I know there are still 10 games to go, but my blood pressure can’t take it. The fast start putting 10 points on the board in the first few minutes of the game with a field goal and a touchdown for us, I began to regain confidence. Then….it all came crashing down around us….again. To make matters worse, it was our sixth game in as many weeks to end with us losing by one-score, and in the final minute of the game (27-23 Giants). Things are now getting pretty bad for our Head Coach too, with Ravens fans all over social medial calling for his head on a stick. I like John Harbaugh, so I’m not there yet. All I know is that one or two more weeks of this, and I will have to truly kiss this season goodbye.
October 17, 2016 at 7:12 pm #52411caseyParticipantIt’s almost worse losing by so little than being blown out. I can never understand how a coach can be great and then suddenly bad. Are you seeing anything obvious in JB’s game decisions? But injuries if enough of them can kill a team.
Look at the Panthers. Last year in the super bowl, this year a losing season so far. And the Cards great last year and not so much this. Crazy.
On the flip side my Bills look good so far after years of misery. It’s fun but I’m not gung ho until they can beat a really good team this year, like the Brady led Patriots.
Oh, the sufferings of the football fans!October 20, 2016 at 2:21 am #52426powerpaw2Participantis we were the 6th seed when we won the Super Bowl, so I am not giving up hope.
October 21, 2016 at 12:34 pm #52429caseyParticipantPP, that first half last night was another dicey one. But the second half, AR and Co really kicked it in. Glad to see it! But rough on the Bears with their QB getting a broken arm.
October 21, 2016 at 3:16 pm #52438PattiParticipantbut, gee, the Ravens have always been known for their second half comeback wins. So, I’m still waiting to see that happen this season! LOL
