So where are they going with Sonny getting a job with the DA? I wondered about the DA apologizing to Chad the other day. I really didn’t see any reasoning for it but it is apparently forshadowing something in the future.
Speaking of Chad, why has he been drinking beer. The last we heard he had just had his 20th birthday. Yesterday in five minutes they showed five different people with a drink in their hands.
BTW, I missed about 20 minutes yesterday while Obama was whining about the debt ceiling. Did I miss anything exciting?
August 5, 2011 at 1:29 am #25600powerpaw2ParticipantCan’t believe the telecast got interrupted by him yet again. Sigh…..
August 5, 2011 at 2:17 am #25602PattiParticipantwhy would Justin and Adrienne be so upset about it, too? Are they afraid the D.A. just hired him to pump him for information, knowing that too much "family" business might be revealed at some point, and Woods might just be using Sonny because he is a Kiriakis? Other than that, I can’t see any reason why his working for Woods as a summer intern would be such a concern.
August 5, 2011 at 3:35 pm #25609mommytutuParticipantWhen Chad found out he was a Dimera, he also found out that he was older than he thought. I think when he found out his age, he was a couple of years older. Since he was older than Will to begin with (a year ahead in school) he would have thought he was 18 when he was really 20. Will is now 18 so that would make Chad 21. Hope I didn’t confuse you any more.
August 8, 2011 at 2:45 am #25653beadjunky18ParticipantI am a proud supporter of our president and I don’t think political comments like this are appropriate on this board.
August 8, 2011 at 3:19 am #2565453tdogsParticipantgiving you what I read…she was just commenting on our show interrupted yet once again when it was totally unnecessary to do so…I didn’t see anything at all wrong or political in nature with your comment Bonbon.
August 8, 2011 at 11:56 am #25656BonbonParticipantIt just seems like everytime there’s some little thing to report on (and I thought this could certainly have waited for a regular newscast), that they always interrupt during Days. Besides, I didn’t even hint at how I really feel about him. :o)
August 8, 2011 at 2:57 pm #25659VikieJParticipantseems like 99% of the time they break into Days its for crap…
August 8, 2011 at 2:58 pm #25660mommytutuParticipantI hate it when my show is interrupted. I would guess that 99% of the time it’s something that could be shown on the evening news and not considered "breaking" news that needs to be reported. Lately, all we’ve had are interruptions for non-newsworthy moments. Some people are so blinded by their own political agenda.
August 8, 2011 at 4:08 pm #2566153tdogsParticipantit? Just more endless dithering that interrupted our show, it’s not like NEW FLASH – we’d driven back the alien invasion or we’d found a cure for the doldrums in the hole in our pockets.
August 8, 2011 at 5:32 pm #25662bluebonnetParticipant"Obama was whining" that seemed political in nature rather than the fact that the interruption itself was political. The interruption could be annoying without giving an opinion on the content of the interruption.
August 8, 2011 at 5:50 pm #25663MKParticipantThere was NOTHING wrong with Bonbon’s comment AT ALL! And, by the way, I agree with Bonbon. Interruption was unncessary. I took what she said not as a political comment as so much as it is a "why is our show being interrupted again!" comment. And even if it was meant to be a political comment (which it wasn’t), what’s wrong with that? We’re all adults here and if we have an opinion, we can surely express it. Are we not allowed to voice our opinions on important matters? Do we have to watch EVERYTHING we say? So if I went on the Annex Board, which is meant for off-topic discussions, I couldn’t talk about something our President said? (I have never done so so far and probably wouldn’t but I’d like to feel that I could if I felt so strongly about something). That’s kind of scary if that’s the case. I guess since I am a very respectful and courteous person, I can respectfully disagree with something someone states and can state my own opinion on something without bashing somebody else. If it’s Jenn’s rules not to talk about politics or religion, then I will abide by that. I don’t usually talk about those things anyway but seeing that post about what Bonbon wrote made me kind of mad.
I too am sick and tired of this show being interrupted by what could have easily been shown on the evening news. Breaking into our show is not going to solve anything. It’s not anything we needed to hear right then. Even our local news is constantly interrupting the show to talk about things that aren’t even news! For example, "the governor took a crap today and it was purple!". Exaggerating, but you get my point!
August 8, 2011 at 5:53 pm #25664NoraParticipantObama is yet again inturrupting the last 10 minutes of Days. UGH. he couldnt wait 10 more lousy minutes?
August 8, 2011 at 6:07 pm #25665dvalParticipantJust coming to say the same thing. 10 stinking minutes, not even. And of course we get to miss Stefano’s reaction to EJ. Grrrrrrr…what is wrong with these people. It’s not like coming on 10 minutes later would change anything that is going on.
August 8, 2011 at 6:17 pm #25666BonbonParticipantto the best of my recollection, these "news breaks" never seem to occur during the 12:00 or 2:00 or 3:00 programs, they always happen between 1:00 and 2:00, during Days. If they absolutely have to do so, how about varying it during the day. Or maybe they think it’s better to make only one group of people angry instead of all the soap watchers.
BTW, using the word whining…from what has been going on lately, I consider it an appropriate word for everybody who comments on this debt ceiling. Instead of everybody crying (and whining) about it, why don’t they just shut the **** up and DO something to solve the problem.
