I know she likely never went back to her maiden name – but when Bo saw her invitation today and it said "Hope Alice Brady" all I thought was – how tacky!!!

Why not Hope Alice Williams?!? Your former married name on your invitation to your new husband to be = tacky to me.

I thought the same thing. Just weird. If she was a widow I could see it. In this case it’s just odd.

Since she didn’t change it back, that is her legal name. Many times women with children will keep the married name for the connection to their kids.

I would think that her legal name is the one that should be used for any formal document.

however very passé, would be if it were written Hope nee Williams Brady. But that is usually only used for obituaries.
