That was a total bore. Except for Sami and Kate I thought I might just take a nap. I hated all of that political debate stuff–too much of that on the news everyday now. And, over and over with Jen and Jack, my goodness, that conversation should have only taken up a couple of scenes today. Hope we see Maggie tomorrow.
October 13, 2011 at 7:52 pm #2756953tdogsParticipantbehind by the time I DVR it at 4:00 a.m. – I’m just now watching Kate and Maddison go at it in the pub. Good scene. I was hoping for no boring shows since I’ve just come back to the show after three months. Guess it can’t be all good all the time…
October 13, 2011 at 8:40 pm #27576PattiParticipantbut, I swear, every time I hear that phony horse whinny of a laugh come out of E.J. lately, I could reach down his throat and rip out his vocal cords. If he wins over Abe, then surely the town of Salem is possessed, and they’re really all living in Hades!
October 13, 2011 at 8:51 pm #27579luckeyParticipantthe Salem Police Department!
October 14, 2011 at 4:47 am #27588cornbreadParticipantToday was a snooze-fest. Jack and Jenn being the typical Jack and Jenn. Nothing new there. And then the "debate" with the laryngitis Brit. Sure hope today was just a momentary lull in the asction.
October 14, 2011 at 9:49 am #27589BonbonParticipantThe conversations went on way too long… I bet the actors are hating these longer scenes because they have so many more lines to learn without taking a break.
Something has always annoyed me with Jennifer and she’s doing it again. She did it with Frankie and now she’s doing it again with Jack. Have you noticed that when she is talking to him she ends every sentence with "Jack." You know that Abby really loves you, Jack. This is your last chance, Jack. You just walked out on us again, Jack. Who does that?
October 14, 2011 at 1:40 pm #27593mommytutuParticipantI can’t stand that reporters voice. It is so grating. I just ff through all of the scenes with EJ and Abe. Hope nothing of importance was said because I skipped it all.
October 14, 2011 at 2:09 pm #27596MKParticipantI thought it was boring, too. I fast-forwarded a lot of it because conversations were dragging on and on. I know I’m in the minority, but most of the week I’ve found boring except when Marlena/John/Carrie/Austin were on. I hope this isn’t an indication of things to come with characters saying the same ole’ thing over and over again and nothing really happens. We’ve been through that before. I thought the writing (not necessarily the storylines) was better before the new writers took over. At least the dialog kept moving along. I’m not down on the show, just commenting. I’m just bored with the dialog. I don’t expect things to be faced paced, I know storylines have to develop slowly, but rehashing the same conversations is not going to keep my attention. I really wish I could be excited with all of these storylines, but as of now, I’m not.
And I could do without all these "celebrity" appearances by Nate Berkus, the millionaire matchmaker chick, and Terry Seymour, the ever-annoying reporter. I think this has been bothering me too. I don’t know why but somehow I think it cheapens the show. It doesn’t feel like Days to me when they are on.
At least I get to see John now! That’s definitely a plus and that’s a fact!!!!! LOL
October 14, 2011 at 4:01 pm #27599NoraParticipantLOL Thats funny bonbon, I’ve noticed that but never paid much attention to it, does that make sense? lol. My friend does something similar, she doesnt say her husband name when she talks about him, it’s always oh my husband had to work tonight or my husband couldnt make it, or my husband did this or that, it’s never Eric, i mean we knew who she’d be talking about. LOL.
I just hope really hope it’s sinking in to his thick head this time that its his LAST chance. I kind of hope they will bring on a JJ. how old would he be how old do you have to be to be in boarding school? and when did Jack and Jen have enough money to send him to a private boarding school?
October 14, 2011 at 4:19 pm #27603maryanneParticipantJack and Jen…….zzzzzzzzzzzzz! Enough already! How long can you rehash that conversation. Hope they are through talking!
October 14, 2011 at 9:42 pm #27608caseyParticipantover-emphasizes it almost every time. It has always bugged me.
October 15, 2011 at 12:24 am #27612luckeyParticipantthe always arrogant EJ dominated Abe in the debate…although, it wasn’t much of a debate in my opinion. The way they had them sitting at the table with EJ sitting so much taller than Abe and looking down on him added to the image of an overpowering EJ. It really made me sick to watch.
October 15, 2011 at 2:42 pm #27621PattiParticipantwatching and listening to E.J. was particularly disappointing. Why did Abe continue to allow E.J. to beat him down? When E.J. brought up the complete lie that Abe stood by and did nothing while another victim was abducted right in front of him at the Salem, P.D. (yeah, right, like Nicole is a victim — pfftttt), why did Abe not retaliate with something like, "now you would know that, Mr. DiMera, because you were there, too — so why don’t you tell us what you did." Instead Abe kept trying to insinuate him and Stefano as the masterminds behind every criminal act that ever happened in Salem, and, although it is not far from the complete truth, it made Abe look to be nothing more than every other politician who is campaigning, and that is a mudslinger. I would absolutely love to see them prove John’s innocence and that he was set up by the DiMeras now, if only to stop junior in his tracks, before he wins and immediately fires Roman, Bo and Hope, which I’m sure he will do. Oh, and by the way, I am so absolutely sure now that Stefano is behind John’s situation now. I wasn’t at first, but I am totally sure he is now. I just hope E.J. knew about it as well, so they can both be GONE! I just hope they keep them on this show long enough so I can watch both of them be killed off. That’s how much I hate them.
October 15, 2011 at 9:58 pm #27643luckeyParticipantthinking while I watched that debacle of a debate. Abe was so weak and wimpy I couldn’t believe the way the writers missed a chance to really have him show his stuff and stop being so meek and mild. He needed to show some chutzpah and he failed miserably. I have to keep reminding myself that this is just a story and that this isn’t real life when it comes to the Dimeras. It might be because there really are people like EJ in this world and I just want to see them be humiliated and brought down just like they do to people they deem to be inferior to them. I really get an actual physical sick-to-my-stomach feeling when I have to watch EJ. He is beyond loathesome!
