Now that the child is dead will she use the trauma to hold onto Daniel? Or will the wrath of Nicole sweep through Salem? And what will EJ’s reaction be when he finds out?

I’m sure they are going to have her plotting and scheming. Ari is awesome, and I wish they would let the character develop. Nicole has a softer side that the writers show for a moment, but then they send her back to the same old stuff.
October 6, 2012 at 3:06 am #35758lynnekarenParticipantEspecially having been there. If they want Nicole to change for the better, this isn’t gonna do it.
October 6, 2012 at 8:45 am #35760BonbonParticipantshe was all alone with nobody to lean on or comfort her. I almost wanted to put my arms around her myself. Nobody should have to go there alone. I’ve been there twice, just not that late in term, but had a loving husband by my side.
I really hope this is a Dimera scheme and they are just stealing the baby. It would mean she’s horribly broken hearted now but at least she would end up with little Danny after all. Just not like it was with Billie and be 18 years later. (I hope people that are looking for payback for Nicole consider what this is.)
October 6, 2012 at 12:44 pm #35761PattiParticipantand as heartbreaking as it was to watch, she once again accomplished that for me in Friday’s show. Although I don’t care for Nicole for so many reasons, Ari’s performance not only gave me chills, she made me believe every emotion a woman in that position should and would be feeling, and she is the best crier of any soap actress I have ever seen. Not only was that an Emmy-worthy performance yesterday, and I am sure will be again on Monday, but she is so good that she made me forget how much I truly dislike the character of Nicole and actually put myself in her place. Yes, the tears were definitely flowing watching her amazing scenes. Even if she was at one point thinking more about the absurdity of her loss of Daniel as well as her baby, Nicole had me feeling so bad for her yesterday, and that’s a well deserved compliment to an amazing actress. I just wish she had better writing than she has been having so far. I personally like feisty, snarky Nicole, but AZ really pulled out all the stops with this performance.
October 6, 2012 at 12:52 pm #35762DeeLanParticipantI just had a thought though. If it is a DiMera scheme to steal the baby wouldn’t she know it was a lie when the baby kicked or moved? Unless of course they somehow got a drug in her that sedated the baby without touching her at all. I know that’s far fetched but this is Days and stranger, more reality defying things have happened.
October 6, 2012 at 1:03 pm #35765caseyParticipantwhy did there just happen to be a substitute doc when this happened? It also seemed odd that the baby would die this late in term after he’d been apparently very active. Although when would Nicole have been medicated to make this happen? (although those minor details never stopped Days before.)
In addition, EJ just happens to get an email from Daddy at the same time. Andthat he did “accept” that the child was Rafe’s wasn’t like EJ.
So I do think something is up.October 6, 2012 at 1:48 pm #35770BonbonParticipantthey could explain her feeling movement as gas moving around that was formed from the decaying baby. I have experienced gas pains that feel exactly like a baby kicking.
But I don’t think the baby is actually dead which is why the doctor wouldn’t let Nicole look at the ultrasound screen. I still don’t know how they’re going to get her to give birth though. It seems to me it is too early to safely induce. And, if they did, wouldn’t Nicole hear the baby cry when he’s born?
Too many variables here for me to make a guess. We’ll just have to wait and see.

It seems to me it is too early to safely induce. It’s very dangerous to induce before the cervix starts to soften and dialate…expecially for the baby. I don’t think EJ/Stefano would want to take that chance. And, if they did, wouldn’t Nicole hear the baby cry when he’s born?
