wrote such nonsense that they delivered yesterday. IRL, when Chad made his accusation, Nick would have said,"Hey, buddy, this isn’t your business so get out of here," and then gone on with the service. And Will would have never made such a public admission/confession. Not before talking to Gaby and Nick AND Sonny first.
After that, everybody acted like they were two little kids that needed to get their opinion on everything and then ask permission if they could do it and like it was such a terrible thing to do. They should have been glad that Nick was willing to accept the baby…period! Victor was the only one with any sane mind. He said they were two adults and could do what they wanted to.
And Rafe implying that he should have been in on the decision discussion… WTH? Even if he was her father, it was up to Gabby and Nick whether he liked it or not. Same with everybody else. It was NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. If one of them had said, "Yes, we know but we have decided to raise the baby together, it doesn’t matter who the bio father is." And Sami…all I can do is shake my head over her.
I’m sorry, but that was just way too far out there plain would NEVER have happened. And Chad? They will never be able to redeem him in the future in my eyes. Not because of blabbing but the way he talked about Gaby in front of Will and Rafe was the most dispicable thing he could have done. He’s a pig! I’m glad Abby called him on it too.
The only thing good about the whole episode was Nick’s threat to Chad. Loved that! And I hope he follows through with it…I hope he makes Chad’s life living hell.
January 15, 2013 at 1:44 pm #37260PattiParticipanton ANY board out there that had this kind of reaction to yesterday’s show … even the ones that have proven to be very pessimistic and complaining about the show most of the time, but not towards yesterday’s show. It was all praise. Guess it’s in the eyes of the beholder. The boards have been raving about yesterday’s show. Oh well, you can please some of the people some of the time…..yada yada yada!
I loved every minute of it. If DAYS has one thing to boast about, it’s their very dramatic crash and burn weddings.
January 15, 2013 at 1:58 pm #37266mommytutuParticipantI agree, I’m looking forward to Nick going after Chad. I must say the dumbest crap of the day came from Kate basically telling Nick she wouldn’t give him a job. Huh? So she’d deprive him of a job to help support her great grandchild because he’s not the father?
January 15, 2013 at 1:58 pm #37265caseyParticipantThe whole thing was complete ludicrous melodrama. Like you said, are Nick and Gabi and Will teens? It was something three young adults agreed upon – no one else’s right to dictate. I can understand the family being shocked but get over it. Sami of course you’d expect to be her usual over the top self, but the character most getting on my nerves is Rafe. He started out being the voice of sanity and compassion etc. And what have they turned him into?
And Will, instead of running around trying to find Sonny how bout instead getting up before the guests and making a statement saying they were sorry to keep it a secret but they felt, in light of the circumstances it was best to raise the child the way they saw fit – right or wrong regardless of who liked it or not.
Everyone racing around like chickens with their heads cut off was for me ridiculous. I’m not saying it wasn’t entertaining – Days just always seems to want to go for the explosive factor which often trumps character and any semblance of reason.
I did like the scene with Eric and Caroline. And for all I don’t like Nick’s possessiveness and intolerance, I hope he knocks Chad down a peg or two.January 15, 2013 at 2:42 pm #37274BonbonParticipantwould be the only ones to see the reasoning that these are three adults who made a decision they believe is best for the child and then EVERYBODY in Sales acts like they have committed the crime of the century. And, it’s really nobody else’s business but theirs.
Seriously, if anybody thinks all these busybodies really have a say in this, well, they should probably go live in Salem with the rest of the…heck, I don’t even know what to call them.
January 15, 2013 at 2:58 pm #37278PattiParticipantintentionally by Nick and Gabi….together. Yes, he finally stood his ground, which he’s been wanting to do for quite some time now, and I could not be happier for him. Although it was his choice to determine whether or not to let the cat out of the bag, I’m happy that he finally did. Nick is a homophobe as well as a bigot, plus he is out to control whatever and whomever he can. Unless I’m wrong about him, Gabi is going to regret the day she ever said ‘I do’ with him. Now he’s going to evidently use another underhanded way to keep Will out of his own child’s life. And people still haven’t learned the truth about Gabi and her involvement in Melanie’s kidnapping and eventual disappearance from Salem. I despise Nick and Gabi and their fate can’t come soon enough for me. I’m hoping once E.J. finds out about this mess, and since he’s going to be back in Sami’s life as soon as he finds out who did what to whom, and that Chad was involved, he will no doubt come to Will’s rescue in some way, whether it be for the right reasons or not. Then, Nick and Gabi may get some of the payback they so richly deserve.
January 15, 2013 at 5:10 pm #37284shadowParticipantbecause it was funny to watch. I was holding my breath waiting for Chad to open his big fat mouth.
Chad – I never liked him from the first time I saw him. He is a total jerk and I don’t like anything about him. However, I was relieved when he finally stepped up and started talking. I’m not giving him any credit, because that is just like him to act like a DiMeara. The fact that he is supposed to be a DiMeara is just plain stupid.
Will – I know it took a lot of nerve to stand before everyone and tell the truth, but I am so glad he did. Running after Sonny was stupid. He was acting like a little boy looking for his mother.
Lucas – He is not one of my favorites. He has never seemed to have much of a personality. But, I thought he was very on target with Will.
Gabi and Nick – A wedding that should have never happened, and a couple that should have never tried to pull such a scheme. They are both devious and Nick is very controlling. All they ever did was roll around together in bed. That got old real quick watching them.
Eric – He’s the one I really felt sorry for. He is such a sincere guy and I really like him. I just wish Nicole would get out of his face and leave him alone. She is such a bothersome pain in the rear.
Sami – What can I say. I have already told my opinion over and over about her and I still can’t tolerate her.
Rafe – I wish he had a backbone. I also wish he would find someone who would be good for him.
January 15, 2013 at 5:31 pm #37285PattiParticipantexcept for Rafe. I simply dropped my jaw when he looked right into Nick’s face and said: "why would you claim a baby that isn’t even yours." Really, Rafe???? Loks like Sami’s not the only one with an extremely selective memory.
January 15, 2013 at 9:28 pm #37291majencoParticipantI loved when Victor said to Sonny "As far as weddings in Salem go, it wasn’t that bad. At least no one got shot or fell off a balcony." Let’s not forget the time Jack returned from the dead at Jen’s wedding or when Shawn D crashed his motorcycle through the stained glass window! Victor’s right, this was no big deal.
January 15, 2013 at 10:23 pm #37293midwifemamaParticipantIt was considered rude to count the months of the first pregnancy of a marriage. There were a lot of good size "7 Month" babies. And there were quite a few who were not genetically the father of the child. The law is the wife’s husband is the father. Though I dislike Gabi, I think in this situation she has been trying to do her best, and has been honest with Will and Nick. It really is no one else’s business. The "adults" should have just stepped back and listened to them, it is sad when Gabi, Will and Nick are the most mature-acting adults in the room! Sami is beyond words- she has never stopped to put her kids first before her own wantsand desires and seems to have developed amnesia for her own past. I hope Rafe has reached the end with her. Everyone needs to listen to Victor and treat them as adults and listen to the three involved
