I think it’s very natural for a woman who is as seemingly as insecure with herself as Sami, to ‘rebound’ with any guy who gives her attention. She feels rejected by Rafe who she loves and she is around EJ 24/7. She obviously has had feelings for him before since they have Sydney. It’s never good to spend any amount of time with an ex that you don’t want to end up with, whether you’re in a committed relationship or not.

When is she going to stop blaming witnessing John and Marlena on the plane and her parents’ divorce for all her troubles? She’s an eternal teenager and making no effort to confront her insecurities.

June 18, 2010 at 2:34 am #13737kayParticipantSami NEVER raped EJ. Then your comparison would hold water. I never wanted Sami and Austin just like I never will want EJ and Sami and just like I didn’t want Jack and Kaylah, Lawrence and Jennifer and Todd and Marty. Plus Sami did nothing to EJ for him to torture her before she ever willingly slept with the prick.
June 19, 2010 at 10:21 pm #13795drea4713ParticipantYes, it was Sami’s fault for losing Rafe. She shouldn’t have let EJ move in after they got Sydney back. But the way EJ played with her emotions, I couldn’t imagine handling losing a child (Grace) and less than a year later getting a child back that was lost just to turn around and lose her again (and be told she was dead during that time!). What a roller coaster! I think any normal person would have a really difficult time processing all that, not to mention who to trust and depend on.
I haven’t heard Sami whine or complain about her losing Rafe being someone else’s fault if that’s what you’re meaning by that, have you?
June 19, 2010 at 10:37 pm #13796DeeLanParticipantI see Sami as someone who wants or craves love. She doesn’t realize those around her do love her and she gets wrapped up in the attention and whoever’s giving it to her at the moment. Right now it’s EJ. He was supportive and saying all the right things when Sydney was missing. He twisted things around to make everything seem like it was Sami’s idea and he supported her where Rafe was talking with reason that Sami didn’t want to hear since it went against what she was led to believe she thought was best.
June 20, 2010 at 11:17 am #13799SWParticipantsince he was responsible for her losing her ‘father’ to begin with, he was the one responsible for John coming into Marlena’s life, he was responsible for taking Marlena away from young Sami and leaving her to be raised by John (someone she never really believed was her father even though the others accepted him as Roman). Sami needed a good shrink and still does! I’d suggest Laura stick around for her or get someone new in. Plus, there are a bunch of other characters that could use their services! Sami has been looking for paternal type love in all of her relationships: Alan (she wanted him because he was older and interested in Carrie), Austin (same), Lucas (same), Brandon (he was older), Franco (?-more of the same), EJ (fatherly acting? ), and even Rafe (protector, like a father). I’m really surprised she didn’t want Mike when Carrie was interested in him!
