But I am so tired of the notion that poor wounded desperately craving love Nicole suckers every man she meets into falling in love with her and thinking they can change her. Really Daniel…you really think she was going to tell Eric THIS time after all the ultimatums you had given her. After almost getting Jen killed to cover her lies u really think you had her on the ropes with if you don’t I will stand there and make you tell? Maybe Eric should tell Daniel her first words to him were not I have to tell you something but change of plans. Our flight leaves in an hour. And then Daniel feels bad for her because she just wants to be loved even though she is standing there telling Daniel he ruined her life when she did that all by herself. She is a train wreck. I love Air and I love that she makes you feel sorry for Nicole but this time gas tried the limits if my patience. What she did was reprehensible IMO and I am just not feeling any love for her this time.
June 10, 2014 at 10:33 pm #44163caseyParticipantDoc Dan may be a super surgeon but he is the dumbest gullible surfer dude ever. How many times did Nicole promise to tell Eric and then tell Daniel their friendship was over just to protect her lies? I agree I feel no sympathy for her this time and I hope Eric doesn’t let her off the hook.
Jen at least has caught on to her one time friend, but I still feel it wasn’t her place to spill the beans to Eric before notifying Daniel she overheard their conversation.June 11, 2014 at 12:37 am #44164PattiParticipantI’ve been saying for some time now that Nicole gets no sympathy from me. She’s very Sami-like in that she causes her own problems, lies and manipulates her way out of it, and it’s always somebody else’s fault. I’m so done with her character. At least Alison will be done with the Sami nonsense soon, but it must bug the heck out of AZ, because she is such a marvelous actor, but how long has she been like this now, with no end in sight? She probably will at least get the satisfaction of breaking Dan and Jen up, but enough, Nikki! Get yourself some therapy.
June 11, 2014 at 8:33 am #44165BonbonParticipantI know who and what Nicole is but I sincerely believe it is an inborn personality disorder she has no control over and, like Sami, believes her feelings are reality and nothing is ever her fault. Yes, it IS her own fault but she is hurting so badly now I don’t know how anybody could not feel sorry for her. Of course Ari portrays it so well. (I could even shed a tear for Anne Milbauer (?) if she came across like Ari has.) No, sorry, but I do have sympathy for her.
June 11, 2014 at 1:52 pm #44168dvalParticipantI feel that she just went way too far this time in her quest for her own personal happiness. And no, I didn’t feel sorry for her when she was ranting at Daniel about it being his fault her future was ruined. I guess I have just seen it one too many times. Even if it is her “inborn personality” I don’t think that warrants sympathy every time you hurt someone for your own benefit. As I said before she didn’t just take his vocation from him, she took his reputation too. He can always find employment (which he did) but that won’t stop people from thinking about him differently. And she just didn’t care as long as she got her way. Nope, no sympathy for Nicole this time around, at least not from me. I do love AZ but I think they have pushed the inherently selfish nature of this character as far as they can. It is time for Nicole to learn from her mistake instead of blaming everyone else for it.
June 11, 2014 at 2:44 pm #44169bluebonnetParticipantKristen was really the one who took his vocation and reputation away from him. Even if Nicole had shown Eric the evidence and he had shown it to the church, his reputation was already shot by that time. Maybe the church would have forgiven him, but the church members likely wouldn’t have. I’m not defending Nicole necessarily because I think what she did was definitely wrong, but I feel like Eric’s reputation was ruined the minute that video was shown–no matter what the real circumstances were.
June 11, 2014 at 2:53 pm #44170caseyParticipantI wanted to root for Nicole to find some happiness at last but her supreme selfishness shot that down. The fact she may have a disorder does not absolve her from acting on right from wrong. If she felt Daniel had truly chosen her over the Church, then revealing her findings should have been nothing but a big plus. I realize Nicole’s history is one of failed relationships, and she was desperate to marry Eric, but allowing him to live within a tarnished reputation was pretty bad.
I still love Nicole but this latest episode was a disappointment. I would love to see her “dead” child come back on the scene and through motherhood allow Nicole to blossom. Alas, I fear she will just plunge into another rebound relationship.June 11, 2014 at 4:29 pm #44171dvalParticipantIf you want to be specific it was Marlena who took it away from him by showing that video.
As far as being forgiven, well we don’t blame women who are given date rape drugs and taken advantage of. With proof of the drug cocktail why couldn’t Eric have been forgiven by the members of his parish? Either way, I still think Nicole went too far this time, at least for me.June 11, 2014 at 11:32 pm #44173PattiParticipantthen it was Victor Kiriakis’ fault, because he and Marlena decided to derail Kristen and Brady’s wedding by showing that video, but Victor decided NOT to tell Marlena that Kristen’s sexual partner was Eric Brady, but he darn well knew it was Eric and didn’t care that he was Marlena’s son much less the fact that he was a priest. I still can’t understand why Victor did that. I guess all he really cared about was saving Brady, but look how that turned out for him.
June 11, 2014 at 11:39 pm #44174cjwestParticipantNicole told Dan the Jen thinks Dan was a coward and wouldn’t make Nicole tell the truth. Dan is mixing up this statement with what Jen actually did to try and save Eric.
June 12, 2014 at 12:22 am #44178Misty004ParticipantI totally agree with your sentiments….she has gone way way too far…and blaming everyone for ruining her life…she did that all by herself. Dan is just as bad…I am so sick of him trying to do good and believing the good in everyone, Teresa, Nicole, etc…but not Jennifer? Really? Those 2 need to fnd someone else to be with. In my opinion they are so over…nothing left for them…not there ever was. I guess that leaves Dan and Nicole now and they are welcome to each other in my opinion. I want them gone as much as I want Teresa and Brady gone….I hate watching the show these days.
June 12, 2014 at 12:41 am #44180dvalParticipantI never understood why Victor was willing to accept that about Eric either. It seemed odd but I guess you are right. He only cared about freeing Brady from Kristen. Fat lot of good that did Brady.
June 12, 2014 at 7:36 am #44185BonbonParticipantEven if the evidence comes out now that totally exonerates him, people have seen him in bed with Kristen doing what a priest should not be doing. And they tend to make judgments about that, even if it was against his will…he STILL “did it.” Right or wrong, he’ll always be “the priest on that sex tape” in everybody’s eyes. So, it seems to me that God just really didn’t want Eric to be a priest afterall.
June 12, 2014 at 11:01 am #44186PattiParticipantthat is not the way God looks at it. Eric should return to the Church, Nicole’s ill-gotten gains turned ruin should be revealed to everyone, including the Church and St. Luke’s parishioners, and Eric’s slate should be clean, at least in their eyes. What he decides to do after that is certainly his choice, but for what it’s worth, I think that’s exactly what Nicole will try to do once she realizes Eric will not marry her….perhaps she will be Eric’s salvation after all. Then let’s see, if she succeeds, if she proclaims ‘God told her to do it.’
June 13, 2014 at 12:59 pm #44213justwonderingParticipantStop–it was Kristen who put all this in motion to get back at John and Marlena. She ruined his reputation and caused the church to doubt him.
Victor made the video available to the world because he believed that Eric was a willing participant and deserved to be knocked off his pedistal. All Victor cared about was Brady.
Marlena was also desperate to stop Brady and Kristen so she bought into the presentation not knowing it was Eric on the video.
Nicole is way down the list on ruining Eric’s reputation. I feel that the church should have done investigaing before defrocking him. As far as the congregation, if the plot was revealed, most people would come around.
I said before that Nicole has very low self esteem stemming from her father. I think subconsciously she feels she doesn’t deserve love, and no one would choose her without help. Granted she had the power to allow him to choose, but in her mind she would never choose her. I feel that the ultimate irony would be if he decides not to return to the church and takes up with Jen.
