especially since it stayed mainly on two storylines, particularly Gabi (and all that she encompasses in her drama). I thought the acting by everyone was really good, even though I knew she wasn’t going to lose the baby. Doesn’t in any way excuse what Sami did, but since everyone is aware of Nick’s real intentions in this story, and sooner or later everyone else will know, too, it let’s me cut Sami a little slack for being wise enough to see that something is not right with this guy, even though Will can’t. Maybe now that he and Sonny will reconcile, Sonny can calmly talk some sense into him, since he knows that Gabi isn’t as innocent as everyone believes she is either. It’s a storyline that I’ve been much more interested in than I ever expected, since I’m not a fan of Camilla Banus; but Blake Berris is doing a marvelous job. Kristen and Brady are getting interesting and Stefano will be returning soon, so I think this storyline is also going to be heating up as well. John will be returning soon as well, so I’m looking for a really big improvement in this story. Don’t know why, but I have a feeling Kristen is going to lose …. again …. just like she saw in her fantasy of John’s predicting it; but, that would take Brady finally wising up, and I’m not so sure he will for a while. Will tugged at my heart today, so I’m really glad Sonny was there for him. And how soon before the secret affair between Kate and Rafe comes out? That should raise more than one eyebrow in Salem. I have to say, the show is really holding my interest, and the writing has been terrific.
February 22, 2013 at 9:21 pm #38059BonbonParticipantI thought Gabi was a little over-reacting. And there is no way in the world they would have kept Nick out of there. He would have had more calming influence on her than anybody or anything else they could have done. IRL, the father/husband/SO is there the whole way, even when they do an internal exam.
And, although I can’t forgive Sami for the way she handled it, again I’ll say, she is absolutely right in insisting Gabi have that paternity test. And it’s really stupid that the others don’t see the reasoning.
I, too, cannot wait for people to find out about Kate and Rafe, especially Sami. That’s going to be priceless.
(Patti, please don’t get mad at this but your long posts (and not just your’s) would be much easier to read if you’d make a couple of paragraph breaks. My old eyes have a hard time following the lines when there are so many. Not a criticism, only a suggestion. Thanks.)
February 22, 2013 at 11:03 pm #38065caseyParticipantwith this premature labor episode, that will hang up the paternity test? Either from a medical stance or Nick persuading everyone that it’s too risky. I don’t see it happening which will make the SL more interesting.

February 23, 2013 at 12:59 am #38068luckeyParticipantthe small scene with EJ and Rafe after Rafe had his conversation with Kate. I had read a spoiler that EJ questions Rafe about Kate, so I was thinking that EJ will have seen something provocative between Rafe and Kate. It turned out that he just saw a very innocent chat between the two and he comes up to Rafe wanting to know "what was that all about?" There was nothing to indicate anything other than a simple conversation making it a non-issue…except that the writers have someone jump to a very illogical conclusion…as usual.

Also she is young and obviously scared. As for allowing Nick to be with her, they’re first concern was to examine her and get the monitors on her and give her the medicine. So who do you pick, Nick or Will (since he is the father)?
Also, I think that they would have let Nick in if she had asked for him.
Patti—why don’t you like Camille? I think she is doing a great job with this SL.
February 23, 2013 at 11:08 pm #38094PattiParticipantI felt the same way about her when she was on One Life to Live. Her performances are weak and very forgetful to me, although I do think her storyline is probably the best on DOOL right now, especially since it entails so many other main characters. I guess I just don’t see her winning any Emmys for this role, like I would Blake Berris or Chandler Massey.
February 25, 2013 at 5:18 pm #38110MKParticipantThis is how I feel about Sami. Whether she’s acting good or bad, I just don’t like her way/acting/personality/whatever you want to call it. When she is acting rationally and not stomping around, I like her a little better, but I just don’t care for her either way.
February 25, 2013 at 10:26 pm #38122shadowParticipantand the way she is so spastic and flits around like she owns the world. I have never liked Sami(I have made that clear many times), and I never will. And of course when she goes in to one of her tantrums and starts spewing words out of her mouth, she is made to really look stupid and a raving lunatic. I think she has the BIG HEAD and thinks she is superior to everyone else. I can’t believe she is a director and producer of DOOL. Corday must be as ignorant as Sami is. Another thing that makes her think she is the greatest is all the publicity she gets by trying to put herself in the limelight with all the projects she seems to have. She is on the front of Good Housekeeping and naturally she was talking about dieting. I thought she had worn that subject out. She was on some housewife show not long ago and they barely showed her on screen. I bet that really made her mad when she realized she wasn’t the center of attention.
I personally think she has worn out her welcome on DOOL, since she has turned in to such a narcissist. I look at the comments on Salem Spectator and almost everyone on there really hates Sami.
Okay, I am stopping now. Enjoyed your comments MK.
February 26, 2013 at 12:51 am #38123dvalParticipantYou hate Sami because you hate Ali or you hate Ali because you hate Sami? You do realize that Sami is a fictional character and Alison Sweeney is a real person who just happens to portray her right? And most things I have read about Alison Sweeney seem to indicate that she is a very nice person, can’t recall reading anything about her that was negative, really. Am I wrong?
February 26, 2013 at 7:04 pm #38136maryanneParticipantThey can always wait until the baby is born to do the paternity test. Unless Will has signed away his paternal rights, the name of the birth certificate can be changed……??????right?????
February 26, 2013 at 9:48 pm #38147BonbonParticipantSami is afraid when the baby is born Gabi will put Nick’s name on the birth certificate as father. Then Will would have to prove differently. If the test is done before the baby is born, she won’t be able to do that because it will be an established fact Will is the father.
