Are you referring to his behavior or his speech? I don’t care for the character at all, and I can’t really understand his mumbling way of speaking.

I’ve been on conference calls with offshore IT folks for over 5 years now, so I am able to understand just about everybody.
because I’m getting (well, guess I’m already there) old and can’t understand anybody on TV that well anymore so didn’t really notice. I pretty much use it for any show except the ones where the dialog lags so far beyond what they are saying.
As to the character, I don’t like him either. He is just SOOOO creepy. When he was with Kate he really made my skin crawl. I hope if he’s going to be around for long something changes and he grows on me (ewwwwww!!!) like Melanie did.
anyone who speaks with a British accent. I very often engage the CC when James Scott speaks. This new guy is just as difficult to understand. The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, is a very good example of what these two guys also do. They barey open their mouths and then they speak very quickly, so there is no precise enunciation of their words. I wish someone would coach them to make sure their words are understood.
