You are now the head writer and the producers have told you it’s time to pair Sami with someone permanently. That means no more switching from one guy to another. So, in that light, who would it be and why. Only one man, please and no contingencies.
For me: Rafe – I am happy with their relationship and don’t want her to go bace to either Lucas or EJ.
January 8, 2010 at 7:54 pm #9349BonbonParticipant…and the producers have told you that you can bring on ONE new character. Not a past character/actor but a brand new character. And you can give them a name.
Who would it be (not the actor, the character) and why?
Jessica Lowell – a brilliant British 30-something attorney who goes up against EJ on a big trial and beats him soundly. They have a very antagonistic beginning because she always seems to be one-bettering him at every turn and his ego is taking a beating. But he finds out she has a dark side and learns she is one of the head attorneys for a big crime boss (maybe the one that Arianna is actually trying to find, not Victor). That intrigues him and they begin to get closer.
January 8, 2010 at 8:24 pm #936153tdogsParticipantSami’s forever partner would be EJ for me. Now don’t slam me folks – I love EJ…I’ve always thought those two had chemistry from day one.
It’s time that Sami after all those guys in her life to be with just one. Sami Brady and EJ Demira – the Brady/Demira clans would be like the Hatfield and McCoys – a forever battle that the writer’s can draw on story lines for years.
Yes, I love Rafe and want to see lot’s more of him, but let’s face it – Rafe being an FBI agent again, makes him too good and with Sami being miraculously changed into a "goody" – you just can’t pair the two together and have a non-boring story line. We have to have something go wrong or else we wouldn’t watch.
I know Bonbon you said no contingencies but that’s too hard to do. Unless, the writers start writing good story lines like they used to do for Bo and Hope. They are a "forever couple" and the only things that break them up are cruises gone wrong, identities being lost, acid fire pits, etc., sans of course, the stupid story line now that Bo and Hope are in.
Plus, from what Rafe said (two days or so ago), he would be in Salem to help coordinate the search for Sydney, that kind of gave me pause that what happens afterwards – another FBI assignment somewhere else? That is why I’m thinking he may not be in Salem that much longer, no $$$, just a feeling.
January 8, 2010 at 8:25 pm #9363IzzyBParticipantBecause he has found a way to except Sami for who she is while at the same time getting her to mature into a woman finally.
He does not change her, but except and respect her. This has allowed her to grow and mature and into someone who she has always wanted to be.
I also think they have really good chemistry together and I love how Rafe accepts all of Sami’s kids and issues.
January 8, 2010 at 9:12 pm #9374SWParticipantI’d pick Rafe because she needs someone to help her mature and the way EJ has been acting, I want him in jail! Rafe loves Sami with all her warts (not that that gorgeous woman has any physical deformaties). He is able to focus her as no other guy has. While I enjoyed the story with EJ as his grandfather and Sami as Colleen, I don’t want them together permanently.
January 8, 2010 at 9:29 pm #9376PattiParticipantwould be acceptable. I have grown to love her with Rafe and think that he would continue to improve Sami. I just wish that she would be honest about E.J.’s ridiculous plan to hide everything from Rafe, especially now that we know E.J. is behind the kidnapping after all.
January 8, 2010 at 10:00 pm #9384DeeLanParticipantI pick Rafe for Sami. For all the reasons mentioned above as to why he’s good for her but also I see a lot of potential there with the DiMera’s. Him being FBI and them being, well, DiMera’s. More so than with Abe and Stefano since being FBI their jurisdiction is nationwide not local and their resources are far superior plus he’s got brains and more common sense than the entire SPD.
January 9, 2010 at 12:22 am #9402daysfanforeverParticipantI will forever be a Lumi fan. Their opportunity to become one the of the greatest couples of the show was ruined by the stupid Brady/Dimera vendetta.
January 9, 2010 at 12:28 am #9403BonoSugaRayParticipantELVIS JUNIOR!
January 9, 2010 at 9:19 pm #9427majencoParticipantThe few times they were together and genuinely happy were the best I have ever seen Sami behave. Sadly, this didn’t last long. In the absence of Lucas (which I HATE by the way) I choose Rafe. He does accept her flaws and all. EJ? NEVER!
January 9, 2010 at 11:15 pm #9432maryanneParticipantI’ve always been a Sami/Lucas fan………………..but with Brian leaving, I’d have to vote for Rafe
never EJ. He will ALWAYS be Stephano’s son and in the end will always be a bad guy. Sami could never live that lifestyle forever. this not to say I don’t like EJ…………just not with Sami.January 10, 2010 at 12:19 am #9436BonoSugaRayParticipantif that’s the case, we can say the same thing about Lexi, and the late Tony (as well as the other brother who was killed), right? All of them are Dimeras…I guess none of ’em are any good.
January 10, 2010 at 5:26 am #944053tdogsParticipantI was going to say the same thing when I read your post…didn’t Stephano have one good child? Wasn’t there a deaf gentleman that died a couple of years ago or do I have to reset my memory again?
January 10, 2010 at 12:44 pm #9441BonbonParticipantYes, Benji was deaf but he was adopted by Stefano and was ultimately killed on Stefano’s orders. That storyline was a travesty IMO.
January 10, 2010 at 1:06 pm #9442SWParticipantTony and Lexie opposed their father’s way most of the time. One time Lexie went with him and that was when the guy was killed at Stefano’s door and Sami saw the killer. So, what did Stefano (maybe EJ too) do? Tried to have her killed. Sorry, EJ spent too much time worshipping the ways of "Father" and therefore has taken on too many of his evil traits for him to be a permanent match for Sami as far as I am concerned.
I don’t dislike EJ, just don’t want him with Sami! They have too much bad history! Faking his daughter’s kidnapping is just plain horrible! He had Sydney in his life for a long time before he thought she wasn’t his blood and threw her out. Sami had her for a day or so? And, then he has her taken away so he can eventually pretend to be the hero and ransom her?
As to the actor, he does the job of evil well. The only thing I find hard to watch is the blinking he does and I think it may be that he is just sensitive to the studio lights or has dry eyes (not his fault).
