no one else posted about the GMAB feeling of yesterday’s show. I almost turned it off and deleted it from my DVR.
What was the purpose of all this spa crap and Melanie having to lose her towel? I’m sorry but the actor portraying Quinn needs some help in my opinion and the younger characters act like giddy little kids in a playground.
The argument between Sami and Madison was ridiculous and then Kate’s two cents? I don’t care how "new age" the work place may be in some businesses, but Mad World is out of this world for me.
And then there is Hope, who is an inept investigator when it comes to Stefano. She’s like a petulant little child when she talks to him and his smugness makes her look even worse…and Bo just stands there with his chin jutting out like he’s the big bad wolf going to really get Stefano. Totally laughable to me.
Sorry for the rant, but these new writers have a long way to go if they think we’re totally enamored with what they’ve come up with.
One last thing…did anyone notice the quality of the broadcast changing during the show yesterday on 12/7? Maybe it’s my receiver but for awhile it went from looking like video tape and then it went to looking like a jerky sort of film quality.
December 8, 2011 at 3:36 pm #29416NoraParticipantI completely agree with you about the spa crap, yeah Mel go out in front of the store in nothing but a freaking towel. Dumb. We knew that was going to happen and that Chad would see her.
I wonder what they will do with this group of young people once this stupid website gambling thing goes away.
I don’t understand why they brought Quinn back. I haven’t really seen any great improvement. And what was the reason he’s allowed to stay in salem now? I must have missed that one.
I wonder where Victor and mags are going to live? Idont think she really feels comfortable in his mansion. And if she does move in the mansion, who is going to live in her house? Mel? Daniel? he has his own apt.
December 8, 2011 at 4:35 pm #29419justwonderingParticipantWhat gets me is how long it is taking Mad World to get the headquarters opened. Quinn cam to Salwm and had his spa up and running almost immediately. Meanwhile Madison is still having meetings at Horton Square. Maybe she needs the Property Brothers renovating–they can do a whole house in 4 weeks!!! I never saw a company who held meetings like she does. Some professional!!
December 8, 2011 at 4:42 pm #29421PattiParticipantwas the character of Melanie, who still grates my nerves like nails on a chalkboard. The girl needs some serious overhaul. Between the exaggerated facial expressions, the voice, and now the obvious non-stop references to her "grandmother", she simply gags the hell out of me, and I could never look at the character again and it would be too soon.
Quinn, however, I find not only cute, but interesting. I’m looking forward to a new character arriving soon, who will have a great deal to say to and about this young man. Just hope he stays out of Kate’s pants, or her out of his.
And what in the hell was that back-of-the-head-only poor excuse for Susan Banks supposed to be? Almost forgot, hope she’s strictly one-day-only. If it’s not the real thing, it’s not worth having around.
December 8, 2011 at 5:17 pm #29428maxineParticipantI think the Character that plays Melanie is a great actress, I know that a lot of people do not like her,but I think she is very good, TPTB has pushed her down our throats from day one, but she has grown on me, and I do think she is a very good young actress…JMO.
December 8, 2011 at 5:46 pm #29429bluebonnetParticipantI think she is interesting to watch about 98% of the time, which is more than most actors. The thing about Melanie is that most people love her or hate her. I just happen to find her likeable. She seems to dominate the scene when she is on. Now if the writers will just quit writing sappy scenes like the one the other day when she dropped the pen and locked eyes with Chad.
December 8, 2011 at 6:56 pm #29433BonbonParticipantIt’s difficult for me to say this (and I did the same thing with Brady when he first came on the show) but I detested Melanie when she first appeared and well into her role even. But…she has grown on me and now I find her quite interesting. I have begun taking her quirky expressions and such as part of her character and can now appreciate her chops as an actress. I’m looking forward to her involvement with Chad.
As for Quinn, ewww, the more I see him, the more I dislike him. He always seems like he’s constipated or something. I guess his acting is okay but I just don’t like him as a character. And cute? OMG, I could never use that adjective on him. Not even mildly nice looking.
And, to keep our disagreement at the 100% level, I thought the Susan actress did a great job. I was just hoping we’d be able to see her face, even though Eileen Davidson will always be Susan Banks, AFAIC.
December 8, 2011 at 8:30 pm #29440DeeLanParticipantSince Will wants t move out maybe he and Sonny will move in there or the 3 guys will make it their bachelor pad.
December 8, 2011 at 10:43 pm #29457caseyParticipantas far as I’m concerned. What does Days see in this guy? And I don’t connect him as owner of a spa.
December 8, 2011 at 11:41 pm #2946153tdogsParticipantbefore and am doing so now…I just think Day’s thinks it’s a plus to have men with an accent, makes them more sexy…ala Stef, (and for an older guy – he is), and EJ, (although, his royal badness is now off my "A" list – sorry BonoSugaRay – more for you though!)…ever noticed how a large amount of commericals have Azzusies or KQwiees as pitchmen for products? Mmmmmmmmm…sorry, give me a Texas twang or slow southern drawl on a guy any day…
