understand EJ more than Sami. I’m thinking that two good people would be just as boring to watch as two disgusting people would be. I think the good/bad or good/impulsive works better for story telling anyway.
I think you take the line at the end of your posts about dreams much, much too seriously. This show will never be cancelled from the loss of any one character.
Are you sure about that, my friend? lol Eliminate EJ from the equation, and see the ratings go on a bit of a downhill slope (if that even makes sense. lol)! I know that EJ’s one of the few major reasons I STILL tune into the show. And note, there’s MILLIONS of other Days’ fans who feel the same way. lol The moment he’s omitted, is the moment I go on a loooooooooooong hiatus!
See how far the likes of "good boy" Rafe takes the show in the ratings department.

I doubt that. It’s been a long time since we last saw the amazing face of Tony DiMera, but he’s still NOT a distant memory. And I can say the same about Marlena, John, Chelsea, Brandon, Kristian and her bro Peter, Bart and the Gemini twins (I totally miss Cassie
).I think EJ is an interesting character but I am definitely tired of this storyline. I also think he has crossed a line in how vicious he is towards Sami. I think he is cruel and heartless. I have absolutely no sympathy for him. Using a kid to regain Sami’s affection is disgusting.
John and Marlena, but have to concede I never think of them. I think though, that is likely due to Days shoving them to the back burner for so long.
So that means that Lexi (along with Theo and Giovanni) is too? I mean, after all, they are all BLOOD DIMERAs.
If any characters were going to kill ratings when they left it would ahve been J&M and it didn’t. No one character is going to kill this show. When J&M were on Soap Opera digest had them listed every week as the favorite characters and couples. Now it is Sami & Rafe. So how would dropping EJ who is not listed as a favorite character voted by the fans going to destroy the show?
I think the truth needs to come out in a way that Sami and her family knows, but can’t do anything about it to actually put EJ in jail. Then we need to see a break from this SL and EJ for a month or two and then maybe heat up a few custody battles etc. But I don’t EVER see EJ being with Sami, too much bad blood and I love Sami with Rafe. I trully think the show is going down a SAmi and Rafe pairing. If not they would have kept Lucas around.
