Nicole: People have mentioned her endangering her pregnancy but I don’t know what she has done to do so. Having sex is perfectly safe during pregnancy, even if it’s high risk (with some exceptions which we haven’t been told she has). Someone mentioned her being "good" now but I don’t think that’s necessarily the case…it’s just she hasn’t had any reason to get into trouble at the moment.
Daniel: He’s been called a slut and unethical for sleeping with his patients. He has not had any relations with any of the women until AFTER they were no longer patients. As for how many women he’s been with? Chelsea, Kate, Chloe, Jen, and now Nicole. For the period he’s been on the show and for a man his age, I don’t think this is unreasonable. Kate was really the only "roll in the hay" with no emotional involvement. The rest he truly cared for.
Anyway, I just wanted to "stand up" a little for them. Although I don’t care to SEE all the sex they are having, I like the way they are treating this pairing. They believe they are just FWB but we see it is developing into something more meaningful and I’m looking forward to where it will go. I sincerely like them together, but then, they are both seem to have chemistry with anyone they are paired with.

One thing I do like is at least the writing seems to be heading toward a bit more depth of feeling between the pair. If this continues, then I consider that a positive.July 17, 2012 at 2:02 pm #34328dvalParticipantI’m a little confused about the Rafe is the Daddy of my baby thing, too. Nicole and Daniel are obviously making no attempt to hide their budding relationship so where does that leave Rafe? I mean, I know they never professed to be a "couple" but jeez, c’mon Nicole, have a little sense of propriety will ya? Hiding a pregnancy from EJ by using Rafe and now cavorting with Daniel (who by the way you are also using to hide this pregnancy)? Makes my head spin, LOL. Although I will agree that I really do like Daniel and Nicole together. They seem to be good for each other.

They just dumped a bunch of sh!t in a hat, spun it around and whatever flew out became the story. It will be up to the new writers to make sense of it all. I feel for them because there can’t be anything more difficult in the soap opera world than re-writing crappy storylines that have already progressed this far.
I like Dan and Nicole I just want more story. And yes, sex won’t hurt the baby. She hasn’t been told she has any condition that would be dangerous while pregnant. Not only that, a lot of women have an increased sex drive while pregnant–lots of hormones floating around.
July 17, 2012 at 3:36 pm #3433153tdogsParticipantRafe has been with Sami (and you know how many people she has been with), so no, sex while being preggers isn’t the issue…
July 17, 2012 at 9:36 pm #34335caseyParticipantthe scene between Rafe and Nicole certainly left me thinking she had some feelings for the pretend dad. So I really don’t know what we’re supposed to believe.

July 17, 2012 at 10:38 pm #34338BrandyRoseParticipantisn’t really bad, now that you broke it down, Bonbon. Good points! It’s also good to see someone stick up for Nicole.
Casey, good point, too, about Nicole and Rafe! I was thinking, during today’s show, that Nicole and Rafe seem to have very good chemistry.
I don’t know which one Nicole should be with; but if I were to vote, I would have to go with Rafe. I think they connect beautifully, with such ease.
About Nicole – – I like the character a lot. I have never viewed her as bad. I hope they don’t turn her into a bona fide villain. That would be crushing. I see Nicole as an intelligent, warm "accidental catastrophe," lol. I think she has a very good heart, but when backed into a corner, she can be quite desperate. So, at those times, look out Salem! Go, Nicole!

July 18, 2012 at 10:40 am #34359BonbonParticipantyour assessment of Nicole. Even when she was being dispicable, I still liked her. Go figure.
As to her relations with Rafe… Sometimes I think there may be some tiny feeling there for him and even Dan is picking up on it but I don’t think Rafe feels anything other than friendship for her. I sure hope they don’t try to pair them up. Nicole has gone through enough men.
What I don’t understand is why they have to continue this relationship. It was let known it was basically a "one-night stand" that got Nicole pregnant (with Rafe) so I don’t understand why they have to continue putting up a front. I know Rafe genuinely cares about her welfare but he certainly doesn’t have to spend so much time with her. I guess he’s just being her knight in shining armor.
