What on EARTH makes him think Carrie would be a better defense attorney than Justin. And go against Will’s PARENTS desire to have Justin represent him?!
I’m no Sami fan, but I agree with her here. No matter what happened with Carrie, I’d want an experienced lawyer represent Will. Rafe saying she was selfish and didn’t want the best for Will, omg, I could have screamed. I HATE this Rafe.
June 13, 2012 at 12:29 pm #33711caseyParticipantto this character? I am dumbfounded as to what Days is thinking. They introduced this guy as an extremely likable, high ethics, standup compassionate man. And he’s reduced to this?
I would love to have the brass and writing staff stand before me and explain their motives. Did they really really think the viewers would enjoy this? What is the purpose for steering Rafe Hernandez in this terrible direction?June 13, 2012 at 1:00 pm #33712DeeLanParticipantIn his defense he did say Justin was in corporate law, if I remember correctly when she first came back it was mentioned Carrie was a defense attorney. I do agree with Sami though, she got her degree in Switzerland in 2 week.
June 13, 2012 at 1:52 pm #33713PattiParticipantFirst, let me say that I cannot stand Rafe’s relationship with Carrie and can’t wait until her and Austin are gone for good. Neither Rafe nor Carrie have adorned any halos or sprouted any wings, proving to me that they are any better than Sami when it comes to Salem’s beloved infidels; however, I also find myself defending her. Will is Sami’s and Lucas’ son, and both her and Lucas need to shout that out every once in a while to all the Carrie worshipers in Salem.
Now, seriously, what experience does Carrie have as this great "defense" attorney, capable of defending Will against a first degree murder charge …. at least any that we’ve seen? She came to town and went right to work defending John, true; but, how many ways was that her success story? Did she do ANYTHING to credit her with being this great defense lawyer? Not that these eyes have seen. Was it Carrie who discovered that the picture was photo-shopped to prove that John was not where he was supposed to be in the photo, proving that the light was fabricated …. ummm, no, that would be Rafe’s doing; and as for getting John acquitted ….. that would be Stefano’s doing. So I have to ask, how is Carrie so qualified? I mean what else has she done except share an office with Rafe, tempting him on a daily basis as if she were Salome herself. Other than that, where is her experience, at least that we have seen?
Oh, wait, I almost forgot …….. there was the missing cat. I guess that could have been considered a possible kidnapping. LMAO!
June 14, 2012 at 7:30 pm #33741BonbonParticipantI’ much rather have a defense attorney defending me of murder than a corporate attorney. But, he should actually hire EJ.
There realy isn’t a cracker-jack defese attorney (to our knowledge, at least) in Salem.
June 15, 2012 at 12:14 am #33755DeeLanParticipantToo bad Mickey’s not alive, he was a well rounded lawyer who handled everything. I don’t see why Maggie or Kate don’t appeal to Victor to give him the services of his cracker jack lawyer (can’t remember his name) who gets things done from corporate to criminal in a matter of minutes.
June 15, 2012 at 2:51 am #33756PattiParticipantit would not be unrealistic to believe that he would know of a heap of criminal defense attorneys to recommend with experience far above and beyond Carrie’s. This is just another last-ditch effort to pimp Carrie and Rafe, who I’m sure she will call upon to "work side-by-side" with her on Will’s case, while finding the time to oggle one another throughout the trial. Personally, I don’t think there will even be a trial.
June 16, 2012 at 4:16 pm #3379853tdogsParticipantJust speculating of course, but haven’t *they turned all the "good" guys into "bad" guys at one time or another? I would prefer though that they (*writers and the show PTB) leave some good guys and gals – like Alice and Tom. We need hero’s and folks above the slime – not all characters have to "go to the dark side" to keep them interesting over the years.
June 16, 2012 at 9:18 pm #33800rfsextonParticipantI have never liked Rafe.
