Well Chef Forgeione won! YAY! I fell asleep so i missed it so thank goodness for my dvr! I havent watched chopped yet. but I will be doing that soon. did you watch?
"Cutie-pie" as you call him Nora, did really well in his first battle. Glad he won! They also had a Christmas "Chopped" on.
Hey! Yeah I was happy that he won of course! Wouldnt it be fun if they did a Iron chef battle again and he and Chef Simon were on the same team! WOAH! Talk about hot stuff! LOL. they seem to have the same style too, I liked Cat Cora and Morimoto, they did a battle before. There’s a new The best thing I ever ate on tonight. but DDD is a re-run. You know who else is a hottie is that Chef Rocco Dispirito! He’s on the best thing I ever ate sometimes. but man. wow. lol.
Do you like Paula Deen? I like her but I absolutely can not stand her laugh! Esp when she really gets going she sounds like a screeching hyena! It makes me plug my ears so I cant hear her anymore! I did buy her book It aint all about the cookin. It’s really good. if you havent read it you should go to the library and get it! I like Giada too, she used to get on my nerves, well she still does with some words she pronounces. like spaghetti. it’s like SPA GET ETTI. ugh. lol. she’s going to have a special next saturday at 1. I love her little girl Jade, she is so funny and adorable! you just want to pinch those cheeks! Thats the reason I cant watch Sandra lee alot either, she’s one of my least favorite. she really over pronounces her L’s. I like watching her on money saving meals better. not sure why. Do you like that new show Cupcake wars? I’m not too crazy about it.
now, I like her cooking. I liked Sandra Lee’s money saving meals too – is that the one where her kitchen changes all the time? Boy, I wish I could do that! Most all of the competitive shows I like to watch like Cupcake Wars, Chopped, Iron Chef. I think I like Chopped the best because it moves along at such a rapid pace (I think I’m getting ADHD in my old age, either that or "oldtimers" because I like the quickness of the result of the shows. Guess that’s what drives me baaaaazzonkers about Day’s the story lines take months to develop and then more months to get resolved. Anymore I watch a movie on t.v. and it takes me instead of two hours, about two days to watch just because I get bored. Think I am a product of the times, DVR’s and FFding…sigh.
There’s not much on FN on Wednesday night. Hell’s Kitchen is on Fox tonight but i know you dont like to watch it. Do you like to watch that show it was on last night after Chopped, Private Chef’s of Beverly Hills? I really like that show. The only chef on there that really gets on my nerves is one of the girls, I cant think of her name though, she has redish blonde curly hair. She was with Chef Brian last night. I know it’s not Chef Brooke (the blonde) or Chef Manushka(the black girl). I like her the best. of the guys I like Chef Brian and the really cute guy. not the gay one. he’s ok. lol. I’m assuming he’s gay, he’s very flamboyant. Not that there’s anything wrong with that (from Seinfeld.)
Chopped was a repeat. it said it was new but they played that episode on sunday night.
Chopped ones you were speaking of. Last night was the 3rd season finale of a show that I’m really addicted too – so I watched that instead at 10p.m. and DVR’d the Chopped which came on at the same time here. I’ll watch Hell’s Kitchen just as long as not every word out of his mouth isn’t the F bomb. I’m going to surf over to the Cooking Channel and see what they’ve got. I’ve only watched a couple of their shows, but now that FN is mostly reruns and such…it may be time to see what’s cookin’.
Not much of anything on these days, fall season is just about over, and with the holidays, a lot of shows have been put on haitus. It’s slim pickin’s (pun intended), so I’m watching a lot of Golden Girls, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Nanny. I know them all by heart but the funny thing is that when those shows were on the air, I never watched. I was just thinking about this the other day and was going to start a thread on shows that are off and have been off the air for a long time, that are new because we didn’t watch them for whatever reason when they were on. I often complain, 250 (or however many) channels and there’s not a darn thing on to watch!
The Golden Girls arent on right now, at least my cable, they have it on Hallmark but they are playing Christmas movies. so they wont be on til after Christmas.
They are on the WE channel but our cable package doesnt carry it. I’ve seen them a million times but I laugh just like it was the first time I heard it! they’re hilarious! I like the Nanny too. it’s on Nick at nite. I dont really watch everybody loves Raymond, Ive seen it a few times. it’s ok. I like Roseanne but TVLand you never know what’s going to be on. You probably dont watch Hell’s kitchen then huh? lol. seems like every other word is the Fbomb. I’m sooooo glad they got rid of that extremely annoying girl, cant think of her name, but her and Trevor fought all the time, she had really long curly hair. blonde, almost white. very high screechy voice.
and ELR is on TVLand (I think)…Rosanne is on after ELR but she’s banned on my t.v. ever since she screeched the National Anthem on purpose. And 11ish is my turn off the light time anyway. January is HIC again – love Betty White on that show (and everything she does). Yeah, but they bleep the BLEEP out off Hell’s Kitchen on the channel that it’s on don’t they??? So I would watch it. No prude here or anything, I just choose to not listen to some of it if I can help it…guess it’s because of my age or whatever…that being said one of my most favorite all time shows (that just had it’s finale last night) is pretty graphic and edgy. It’s kind of a "soap" too in it’s own way.
