At the end of today’s show when Jack was talking to Jenn, I thought now this is the Jack I would like to see. He was sincere, compassionate and dare I say – the most mature I’ve seen him.
Yeah I agree, as you all know, I was never a fan of jacks. But yes he has been acting more mature lately, except for when the three of them were discussing their arrangement, he was acting like a spoiled brat then.
not so much because they were together, but for the fact that they are finally getting around to what Jack went through in Afghanistan, the things he witnessed, and how they affected him. I hope they go even deeper to actually have him explain his own torture and what he was put through. So far Jack’s actions have been a colossal disaster for him and has been a turn-off for many. Now that what he actually went through, all the while missing his family but not being able to do anything about it, might soften him to some extent. I know it does for me. Yes, I realize it was his own fault for leaving the way he did and not letting his family know, but I’m sure he never realized that what would happen to him once he got there. He probably thought he was going to be able to get his story and get out, but at least we are being told his side of things now, and I liked that about their scenes today.
Some of the best dialogue I’ve ever heard for the character of Jack. Now if I could just stop craving cookies!
