Jason Cook may be leaving in 3 months….

but Shawn Douglas Brady will remain in Salem.  The character of Shawn D. has been recast already and we can plan on seeing that recast sometime in 2016 I would think, since Jason Cook has already left the building, and the new Shawn D. has already started taping.  No confirmation on who the recast is, but it is largely speculated that it is Brandon Beemer returning to the role.  Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

In any event, Beemer is fine with me.  His eyes are that icy blue, and mesmerizing.  I always liked Brandon, but there are many who think his acting left something to be desired.  Well, he’s had plenty of time to improve, so I’m all for giving him a chance to prove that, if, in fact, he is the recast.  Wonder if he and Nadia ran into each other on set, if it is him. Hope it wasn’t too awkward for either of them, if so.

I personally didn’t think Jason Cook was a grat actor either, and certainly don’t understand why they brought him back when they knew he would be gone in 3 months or less; probably for ratings, I’m sure.  I also didn’t care for Cook’s performance when he was cast as Dr. Drake’s brother on General Hospital.  Yes, he’s a cutie; however, for me, Beemer has those classic chiseled looks that I love to see in a man’s face.  So, looks like after the holidays, we’ll have a new Shawn D. as well as a new Philip (John Paul Lavoisier, who I also like a lot, although many do not).  Well, okay then — at least we’re getting some of my favorite characters back in Shawn D., Philip, and Belle.  OMG, I can see the wash, rinse, and repeat love triangle sl already.
