this thing w/Dan. I mean she hasn’t known the Doc for long and is quite the aggressor. The way Days operates I can only guess it means dear ol’ Jack will soon hit Salem.
June 14, 2011 at 1:30 pm #24512IzzyBParticipantI think it is her insecurities, mixed with people telling her not to go out with Dan, mixed with people saying take it slow, mixed with the rebound thing from Jack. I think that is why she is being aggressive. It did not help with her conversation from Kate, I think that made her want Dan even more and wanted to prove something to the world that she is over Jack and she can commit.
SL wise, yes, Jack is coming back soon, so they need to rush Dan and Jenn’s relationship. Honestly, I am not looking forward to this triangle and I hope the new writers have a new angle on this that works with Jack and Jenn, because Triangles recently with them have not worked out into interesting SLs because Jack gets too goofy.
June 14, 2011 at 2:18 pm #24514mommytutuParticipantI think I’ve used that word a million times on here. Sorry! But the writers really messed this up. I do not like Jenn and Daniel together. And Jenn literally throwing herself at Daniel was nauseating. It’s like she’s forcing herself to want to have sex with him. They have no relationship really, and she’s ready to jump into bed with him even when he offers to do other things. It’s like they got a hotel so they could have sex–not much different than Chloe and her client yesterday. Why couldn’t we just build up the relationship instead of rushing into this? Again, I am disappointed in the writers–no romance, just forced relationship/sexual encounter.
June 14, 2011 at 4:25 pm #24516PattiParticipantand she certainly isn’t the one I remember. Why is she pushing Daniel into sex? Jennifer would never do that. She would make him "court" her, so to speak. She has turned into a man-eater, the likes of Nicole or Sami or Chloe or any other number of women on this show. Give me back my Jennifer, new writers. I hope Jack does show up soon, and when he does I have a feeling Jen’s going to have a melt-down, because I don’t think the reason for his absence will be because he didn’t care. It would have to be something like he had no way of reaching his family and this will throw Jen head-first into the "guilt" pool, for sure. Anyway, I repeat, I just do not recognize this woman now.
June 14, 2011 at 5:35 pm #2452253tdogsParticipantSorry ~ I had to be facetious here. Maybe Jennifer feels that she "owes" Daniel for saving her life, which was a stupid story line to begin with, and this is the only way (whether she is conscientious of a need to "repay" him or not) to thank him.
June 14, 2011 at 5:37 pm #2452053tdogsParticipantComputer slowwwwwwwwwwwed way down and hit send button twice…oops.
June 14, 2011 at 7:14 pm #24530BonbonParticipantI think Jen is trying to prove to herself that she is over Jack, is a mature desireable woman, and perfectly capable of sustaining this relationship. Is she deluding herself? Maybe, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Actually, I like this pairing. I really wanted to see Daniel get back with Chloe but since that apparently isn’t going to happen, I’m perfectly happy with Jen. I love their reparté as it adds some very much needed comedy to the show. Lord know, we haven’t had any lately. Even Victor’s zingers have diminished.
June 15, 2011 at 2:05 pm #24551mommytutuParticipantI want Daniel to be my plastic surgeon. I had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago and my scars are very new looking. Jennifer doesn’t have one scar from her open heart surgery–it’s like it never happened. He is one amazing doctor and he should quit doing what he does and go into plastic surgery.
June 16, 2011 at 3:23 pm #24578PattiParticipantany favors of late. I know she is supposed to be this "tom-boyish" type of gal, no frills, just what you see is what you get, but honestly I thought she looked really bad in those love scenes with Daniel yesterday. The hair, no make-up, the "no scar" (as someone else mentioned) just make MR appear like this is exactly why Jennifer feels she can’t compete with Dan’s ex’s. When she did try to dress up for him, she felt ridiculous and out-of-place, but it made MR look more like what she is, a beautiful woman…. not the root-beer soaked, sweat-suited, slipper sock wearing "unnatural" beauty they seem to be trying to make me believe Daniel is so struck by. Don’t get me wrong; I would never want to see Jennifer looking and dressing like Chloe, hair and overdone make-up included, but please, dress this woman up a bit. So my next request of Sony/Corday is "NEW HAIR, MAKE-UP AND WARDROBE" people, please. Not Hope, though, she looks great.
Another thing I’m feeling about the actors, and again, it’s probably just me, but does anyone think that when Jennifer and Daniel kiss, SC doesn’t seem to put his heart and soul into it with MR. Almost as if he kisses her sideways, with no real passion. On the other hand, when SC kissed Nadia, Jesus, I thought he was going to swallow her up or smother her, one or the other. Would anyone else say that SC put a lot more into it when he kissed NB compared to MR (LOL) or am I just seeing the director(s) preference here?
June 16, 2011 at 3:59 pm #24579IzzyBParticipantI love the fact there are normal woman on Days. Ones that don’t wear make-up (well not a lot) and dress like a normal mother in her 40’s would dress. I don’t mind characters like Chloe who aree always fabulous, but I also like seeing normal woman on Days. And why can’t a man like Dr. Dan like a normal plain dressed woman? Lets face it once a man starts living with a woman, they are going to see the root beer soaked, "unatural" woman eventually. So I think Dr. Dan is old enough to know that a woman is not always dressed up and can fall for someone with no make-up and no frills.
I have not noticed the kiss differences. So if the director is trying to direct it, it is too suttle for me to notice.
June 16, 2011 at 5:07 pm #24585MKParticipantI think Jennifer looks best when she is not all dressed up. She is just naturally cute and doesn’t need a lot of makeup.
As for Dan and Jen kissing, yes, I see what you mean! When he would kiss Chloe, I thought his tongue would be in her esophagus. With Jen, it’s definitely less fiery. Who knows if it’s the director’s preference or the actor’s. I bet it’s the director’s as Jen is a different type than Chloe so maybe they want the kissing to be sweeter, more tender.
June 16, 2011 at 8:02 pm #24594PunkyParticipantglad I am not the only one who noticed the kiss difference. He used to almost swallow Chloe and it’s more demure with Jennifer. Who knows why but I think his love scenes with Chloe were infinitely hotter.
June 16, 2011 at 8:22 pm #2459553tdogsParticipantme ill watching because his face was so large against hers and it was like a snake swallowing a bird on Animal Planet. I am sure it gave me the willies just because he was so much older than Chelsa, (Mel was about the same age as Chelsa, even though we didn’t know Mel was his daughter at the time)…
June 16, 2011 at 9:19 pm #24600BonbonParticipantis even allowing these scenes after the affair she had with what’s-his-name (Kristen’s brother). I guess it’s been long enough that he feels he can trust her again. I thought Jack would be the only one she’d be able to kiss.
And speaking of Jack’s kissing, he always kissed with his mouth closed and looked so awkward. It made me wonder if it was something in his moral character that would not allow him to kiss with an open mouth. I’m sure Missy enjoys kissing Daniel much more.
June 16, 2011 at 9:26 pm #24602IzzyBParticipantI never even heard of anything ewith Missy and cheating. Scott is an actor himself, so I don’t see why he would not let this stuff happen. Was the affair with someone she acted with? Because if not, I don’t see where the conflict with Scott would be.
