correct. Marlena was the one who barged into Stefano’s house and started haranguing him, (not to mention assault). Heaven knows Stefano deserves his commupance for the things that he has done and said in the past (and probably present), but Marlena was totally incorrect in what she did. Why do the writers insist if she is such a strong, smart and capable woman for her to resort to such tatics? A full on frontal verbal/physical attack just bounces off the likes of Stefano – you’ve got to be smarter than your attacker or enemy – that is lesson one in "WAR 101". One reason Stefano is never convicted or suffers the consequences of his actions, he knows that lesson all to well – he wrote the book on adversity.

First, she would have to pass the bar in whatever state Salem is in (Illinois?). And I don’t know how she could possibly take on a case of this magnitude by herself. Cripes, she doesn’t even have a paralegal or investigator.
October 20, 2011 at 11:52 am #27790PattiParticipantand was worried that since all of his assets had now been frozen, that he would have no money to pay Carrie or anyone else to defend him. That was when Carrie told John that ‘her firm’ was willing to pick up ALL of the expenses involved in preparing for and defending John’s case, which, at the time I thought was pretty strange, because in a case like this, the legal fees and expenses would be astronomical.
October 20, 2011 at 12:18 pm #27795BonbonParticipantI guess I missed that. I find it hard to believe that any firm would do that, especially considering the magnitude of this case, but we have to remember it’s Days we’re dealing with here.
October 20, 2011 at 8:08 pm #27821IzzyBParticipantFirms would do this. Because they will get paid. They are picking up the fees until his assets free up and then he will owe the money. That is what she stated. So you have someone like John that has a ton of money, large corporation, and all his lawyers quit. So what happens if they win this case? Not only will they get paid, but he probably would hire them on full time. So think of the money they make off of doing this one case. Sure it is a gamble, but it is a gamble a lot of firms will take to gain business.

October 22, 2011 at 12:20 am #27886majencoParticipantThe love scene between John and Marlena today was gross! All his tongue kissing and practically chewing on her neck. And Marlena’s moans of ecstasy? Sorry I was grossed out.
October 22, 2011 at 12:45 pm #27895PattiParticipantthey were sooooo romantic, and John was so gentle with her. They both gave off just enough emotion to show how starved they were for one another, but without tearing clothes off or clawing or pawing at each other, and I thought he kissed her tenderly and very, very lovingly. Their scenes were beautifully done with just the right amount of passion and sexiness, yet gentleness, to show how deeply they love one another and how long they have been waiting to share that love between them once again. Great job, D&D; loved every second of it.
