Today’s scenes with Chad sure looked to me like Stef was relying on cue cards, especially in the beginning.
Anyone catch this?
If this a sign Joe is slowing down maybe it’s time to exit.
It almost seemed like he was distracted and couldn’t concentrate on what he was doing. It’s apparent he has rheumatoid arthritis in his hands so who know how it is affecting him. But as long as they feel he can do his job, I’m fine with him staying. They’ll have to come up with a better replacement villain than that hick Clyde.
I saw a spark in Justin the other day that made me think he could do great as a new villain on the show. Plus, back in the 80s or 90s, I don’t ever remember him being that nice of a guy. I don’t really recall his story line, but I remember thinking he was not a nice guy.
Days doesn’t use cue cards. The actors are expected to memorize their lines. Julie and Bill talk about it in their book and I’ve heard other actors doing interviews that have said the same thing.

Yes, Jen Lilley mentioned it in her interview. the average scripts per day is 75 pages, all memorized to do in ONE take!! Average nighttime series does 7 pages in a day.
and Susan and Bill Hayes don’t seem to be on that much to have 75 pages of script to memorize either. Joe’s eyes definitely look like he’s reading cards to me. In any case, I don’t see the other actors eyes doing that, and by that I mean looking away from the actor they’re speaking to.
