was good casting for the role of Joey. Granted, he is bitter, he is beligerant, he is disrespectful, and he is rude, but I could see him soften a tiny bit today with Kayla. Say what you will about the kid, I think once Steve and Kayla begin to mend, so will their son. I don’t know if the actor portraying Joey has any prior acting talent, but I think he’s doing a good job in the role of a very troubled, spiteful young man who feels both of his parents abandoned him; one left him completely while the otehr shipped him off to a school he hated. His arrogance with the teacher that Kayla met with today was just another example of his rebelling against a school that is being decided for him without asking him first if he even wanted to go there. He’s 16 now, not 6. This is tough on all of them, but I’m keeping an open mind that once his parents work things out, their son will happily follow their lead. I hope so anyway, because right now he’s a big pain in the butt!!! LOL!
