But I’ve been meaning to mention this for months.  Has anybody else noticed that the pillows that match Victor’s couch are on Stefano’s chair?  I noticed this a long time ago and have to laugh every time I see them.

I’ve noticed. Mainly because Victor’s couch has been in so many different houses over the years. It was in Chloe’s parents’ house first or maybe in Maggies.

Both Victor and Stefano’s sofas are gross.  You would think that if you were so rich you would have redecorated by now!

My pension check was 36 dollars less due to more taxes. Are you retired?? No one has mentioned anything about more taxes—I thought they were due to remain the same or be even less. Anyone know what’s up with that???

pension.    Twenty six bucks isn’t that much, but that’s $312 a year worth of couch cushions that I can’t purchase!

The increase in federal tax withholdings is the result of the expiration of a tax credit that was part of the federal stimulus law passed in 2009. Known as the "Make Work Pay Tax Credit", the stimulus package provided up to a $400 credit that lowered some retirees and employees tax withholdings in 2010. The one-time benefit expired in December, thus requiring an increase in federal withholdings beginning in January.

Yes Congress allowed this credit to expire, but kept the Bush tax credits for all the wealthy folks who can afford to redecorate every month!!!   That makes lots of sense— the middle people get a tax increase and the wealthy continue to get the break.
