I don’t understand why Kate feels guilty in her phone call to Sami. Kate was actually doing something good and unselfish for a change (and could have put her in harm’s way if EJ overheard her talking to Sami). Kate had the best interest of the children since EJ was acting so crazy. All Kate said to Sami was that EJ was going to take the kids away and that Sami better do something about it. She didn’t tell her to kill him. Any half-way decent person would have done the same thing. She’s probably afraid of Stephano though all she would have to tell him is that she feared for the children and never mentioned killing EJ. In my opinion, she did and said nothing wrong and has nothing to do with EJ’s shooting. Sami is to blame 100 percent.
Agree but we all know Stefano would take that as "siding with the enemy" and Kate would have to face Stefano’s rath.
of Kate bundling up the grandchildren herself and hieing them off to a safe haven, calling Sami to protect her children from being taken by EJ (to the good Lord only knows where), was the best alternative. Kate did do the correct thing. She couldn’t have known that EJ would get shot. And Kate has braved Stephano’s temper tantrums in the past.
Mrs. Stefano DiMera and knows what she would have to lose if Stefano ever found out she gave Sami a head’s up about E.J.’s plan. Also, she seems to be genuinely torn between her love for her own grandchildren (Will and Allie at least), and her growing love for Stefano. E.J., not so much, although I wonder if Stefano knows E.J. and Kate had an affair at one time. In any case, Kate’s emotions are very mixed right about now.
