Anyone know if Kayla is going to stay long or is this just a brief return? If it’s just brief then is it just to fill in for Caroline?
Thats all I read, that she’s just back to help her mother with the bus pub! and that she brought the baby but of course we never see him.
a highly educated and skilled physician waiting tables at a pub. Oh, yeah. I’d think in real life it would be more likely if she’d hire some help for her mom. Now coming home for Christmas, that’s a different story. Why didn’t they just say that?
see the oldies but goodies returned, however, that being said, remember the last time they brought Kayla back, no story to speak of, and the first month of J&M back (which I loved), they were stuck in the apartment. Think perhaps it’s a case of "be careful what you wish for, you just may get it", as the show seems to want to please us by bringing back all our old favorites, but not really giving them a story they can sink their teeth into. Maybe, it’s me and I’m just jaded now with DOOL.
to bring back a former staple character for no legit reason. All I can think of is the brass carrying their theme of family good ‘ol Days to the max. But come on, why pay an actor to return just to return? It seemed very abrupt to me to suddenly see Kayla in the pub with no warning. Will she be a revolving door character?
I agree about her sudden appearance to "help" Caroline when nothing’s been said about Caroline needing help. If it’s due to poor health then why wasn’t anything mentioned and her foot was in the boot over a month ago.
Kayla and welcomes her back, they never ask how Patch is doing! How weird is that?! That would be one of my first questions to her.

As far as Kayla being a revolving door, that’s exactly what Doug and Julie are but we love it everytime they come back. I guess they expect we’ll feel the same way about Kayla.
I wouldn’t mind if they’d bring old characters back for just a couple of weeks. At least it lets everybody know that they remember them. Heck, they could do the same thing with a lot of characters, Lucas, for one. Philip for another. I guess it would just depend on whether or not they are working elsewhere.
Bope are investigating Alice’s private funds that had something to do with Africa, didn’t they? Where has Kayla been living – Africa? I suspect that there will be connections at some point that might explain things. Just a guess though!
Doug and Julie are revolving doors because that’s the way the actors want it. They have a show they do and often go on the road singing.
