I love how Jenn is seeing right through Nicole. It’s so obvious how Nicole keeps bringing up Jenn’s missing Jack.
September 17, 2012 at 9:59 pm #35521PattiParticipantI am not a huge Jennifer fan, never have been, but I’m glad, too, that she’s got Nicole’s number. They have turned Nicole into a stalker. It’s not even about protecting her baby anymore; it’s more like she’s so demented and delusional, that she’s convinced herself that Daniel really wants to be with her, even after he’s trying to make her realize that they can not now, nor will they ever be, a couple. So what, now she’s determined to take Jen out of the picture, even going so far as to say, "even if I have to run over Snow White with my car." Good God, woman, go see Marlena now, because it looks like you need her help even more than Sami does, and that’s not an exaggeration …. especially with E.J. plotting her and her child’s future.
September 18, 2012 at 2:40 pm #35530lynnekarenParticipantAs a huge Nicole fan, I’m cringing watching her right now.
September 18, 2012 at 7:20 pm #35536powerpaw2ParticipantAri is awesome and I’ve been hoping for so long that Nicole would find someone who really loves her. I hate what they continue to do to the character. Let her be a strong woman who doesn’t have to scheme to get a man.
September 18, 2012 at 9:28 pm #35537caseyParticipantUsing Abby now. I always rooted for Nicole, but she’s turning into a character of little respect lately.
September 19, 2012 at 4:16 am #35540justwonderingParticipantWhile Nicole is being written as a schemer, she was spot on in her assessment of Jennifer’ s handling of Jack and Dan. Jennifer DID like the attention of both men and she DID kind of string Daniel along during that time. Jennifer comes off (IMO) the good girl, looking out for Daniel. Yet when she could have had Daniel she chose Jack.
As for Nicole "seducing Daniel", she did not drug him or get him drug. Daniel pursued Nicole. His "feelings" changed when he realized that Jack is gone and Jennifer is available.
I just don’t think that Jennifer is the angel eberyone seems to think she is. At least Nicole is Nicole, she has always wanted a man and was ready to go after him.
September 19, 2012 at 1:27 pm #35541PattiParticipantI have always felt she was so darn babified, even to the way she speaks. And, yes, she did like the attention she got from both guys, but I do believe it was always Jack for Jennifer, and the only reason she let herself fall for Daniel in the first place was because she thought Jack was gone for good (silly girl). By the time Jack returned, it was too late to stop the attraction (and that’s all that it was to me) between Jen and Daniel. There weren’t too many "super-couples" on DOOL throughout it’s history, but Jack and Jennifer were certainly one of them. And, yes, Nicole is a seductress, and she always will be. She’ll admit it herself. There’s not a doubt in my mind that she’ll be going after another one of Salem’s sons in the very near future …. collar or no collar. She knows how to use a man to get what she wants, and the majority of the time, that’s with sex. She was using Daniel from the start, and he was using her to get over Jennifer, but not because he loved her, and now she’s developing feelings for him. Nicole’s no better than E.J. That’s why so many people like them together. They both have the looks and know the manipulation game, waaayyyy above and beyond Samantha Brady herself. Nicole and E.J. are masters of their trade. They’re both use sex to get what they want. I think Jennifer had the right idea when she first thought about not taking the job at the hospital. It just put her back into Daniel’s world too quickly. I give him credit that he’s trying to stay away from her, even though he’s never really gotten over her. Truth be told, everybody uses everybody on this show. It seems these writers are no better than any others when it comes to writing good, strong, healthy, loving relationship without somebody using somebody; you know, character-driven NOT plot driven stories. Jennifer looks and acts like the pure and driven snow because that’s her M.O. That’s the way she’s been treated by the Hortons and the Bradys and everyone else in Salem since her character arrived, but she’s finally learning how to fight her own battles, and that much I do like about her.
September 19, 2012 at 2:09 pm #35543MKParticipantI agree with everything you said, justwondering. Nicole was 100% right about what she said to Jennifer. She did string both men along in her innocent-acting kind of way. I actually really like both characters and I love seeing them in scenes together.
September 19, 2012 at 2:24 pm #35546mommytutuParticipantYes, Nicole is scheming, but she’s calling it like she sees it. Nothing she’s said to Jenn is an untruth. Jennifer also seems a lot less the grieving widow than the girl who lost the guy so now she wants to run back to the one she rejected because she can’t live without a man.
September 19, 2012 at 2:48 pm #35547GoodyParticipantYou tell it like it is, Justwondering. No one is all bad or all good on "Days". Nicole is one of my favorite characaters, and so I root for her happiness, and Jennifer is not exactly a ‘perfect little Jen’ by any means. She rejected Daniel when she could have him, so he had sex with Nicole; Nicole did not force him!! Now Jen wants Dr. Dan, and she is not above spreading gossip she overheard to get him.
I hope Jennifer gets her comeuppance, and she will be seen for what she really is.
Oh well, everyone has a favorite, that is what makes the conflict on "Days" interesting.
Goody
September 19, 2012 at 3:05 pm #35548dvalParticipantBut Nicole read more into the encounter than what it really was, by your description Goody, which would be rebound sex. Now, as usual, Needy Nicole who can’t go 5 minutes without a man in her life (sound like a description of anyone else you all love to hate?) thinks she is going to have the perfect life living a lie with a "good guy" that she has put on the road to ruin by getting him to go along with her story. In that respect, Jennifer is absolutely correct…Daniel’s career could be over if it is discovered he backed up Nicole’s lie but Nicky doesn’t seem to worry about that, probably never crossed her mind.
And Jen isn’t "spreading" gossip to anyone but the involved parties. And knowing what EJ plans to do, don’t you think she should give Daniel a heads up, just in case it happens to be true? how would it look after the fact if she didn’t tell him?
September 19, 2012 at 3:29 pm #35549trykeryderParticipantWould anyone here have left the house after the verbal tirade from Nicole, like Jen did, without words to the effect of….get your stuff, get OUT of my house and stay out?
September 19, 2012 at 3:50 pm #35550justwonderingParticipantIf I remember correctly, there were several "encounters" both in her hotel room and of course the office desk. I don’t remember Daniel protesting any of these encounters-cause he went to see her. Daniel’s attraction to Nicole decreased once he realized that Jen was now available again. I guess that we should also note that Daniel does get involved with patients, which Nicole was.
As far as Nicole risking Daniel’s future, she was trying to do the switch herself. She did not even know that he went ahead and change the results.
Jennifer’s MO is alot like Carrie’s. Everyone here used to say that Salem felt Carrie was the good one. I feel that Jennifer is in that same light. My concern is that Jennifer’s husband is dead about 2 weeks, and he was the "love of her life" but she is acting like Daniel is her guy. Abby is having a harder time with Jack’s death than Jen.
September 19, 2012 at 7:06 pm #35551GoodyParticipantDaniel wanted Nicole and all the sexual encounters. He chose to change the tests and keep the secret; Nicole didnot force or trick him. He gave her every reason to believe that he would stand by her.
Goody
September 19, 2012 at 9:03 pm #35552justwonderingParticipantExactly, Goody. He was content with Nicole UNTIL he knew that Jennifer was available. I really feel that Daniel used Nicole as much, if not more, than Nicole used Daniel!! As far as Daniel never getting over Jen, I am not sure how he will feel when he finally gets her.
