What is with all of the sucking face in the hospital between Phillip/Melanie and Stephanie/Nathan? In the real world they would be written up big time.
in the "professionalism" at Salem hospital…the kissy-face stuff – what about everybody and everybody’s brother being able to go into a patients records, room, the screaming matches in the lobby (or is that a nurses station), waling into a patients room at any time…and a ton of other stuff they do in the hospital that is inappropriate.
because there simply isn’t any, from the legality of any situation, professional ethics, medical misinformation, law enforcement, and the list goes on and on. I guess that’s where the phrase "IOASO" comes from.
resident doctor and a student nurse doing surgery? When you’re in surgery, there’s a whole team of people in there. But this is soap land. If it was too realistic, it wouldn’t be interesting.
We all seem to complain about how ‘unrealistic’ these shows are, and yet I think that is exactly why we watch. To escape reality. I have been in Law Enforcement for 24 years and some of the stuff I see in the jails and things the Salem PD does make me laugh. But if it was realistic, I would not want to see it in the first place, as I do not want to watch ‘COPS’ when I am off duty!
Mel JUST got out of nursing school and now she’s already a scrub nurse? That’s a whole different speciality with much more training. Come on, people just throw us a little realism bone once in a while.
