Well, it looks like our good ol’ Karate Kid is going to be one to watch. Even though his scores weren’t quite as good as last week, he sure looks like he’s got what it takes.
I thought the judges (especially Len) were exceptionally hard on the dancers last night. Some of them that I thought did a really good job, they cut down. I love Maks’ expressions when Len judges them, he’s such a hoot!
My guess is that Wendy will be the next to go. Can’t remember his name but the "radio guy" got low scores but I hope he can hang on because I really like him. And, BOY, Kirstey Alley has sure been a surprise. For her age and weight, she’s doing fantastic. I hope she can drop a lot of weight during the show and then keep it off. She’s such a pretty woman. I have always (for years and years) loved her eyes, her and Amy Irving.
All-in-all, I think there are a lot of good dancers this year, not a runaway like we’ve seen the past couple of seasons.
March 29, 2011 at 1:28 pm #22248luckeyParticipantenjoyable this year because the competition is more evenly matched. I saw lots of improvement in Wendy and the radio guy; but, I do agree that Wendy will probably be the first to go. Kirstie has always been a real favorite actress of mine from her days on "Cheers" to her "Fat Actress" reality show. Her outspokenness has always been very refreshing as you never know what’s going to come out of her mouth! She and Hines Ward are my favorites with Ralph Macchio in there too.
March 29, 2011 at 1:40 pm #22249PattiParticipantbut I’m shocked and surprised, in a very good way, with the wrestler. He’s funny, sexy, and can dance. Great combination to have at this point in the game, seeing as how people seem to improve from week to week. I also am genuinely surprised and pleased with Hines Ward, even though he is a Pittsburgh Steeler (sorry, Lucky). He’s very smooth and I feel he’s going to go a long way, too. Love Kirstie, and Maks and her seem to have a great relationship, and he’s very patient with her compared to how he’s appeared with other partners in the past. I feel someone may have convinced him to calm down this year, because so far he’s been rather "normal" with Kirstie and the judges, too, and looks like he’s really having fun this year.
March 29, 2011 at 3:17 pm #22256BonbonParticipantSo which star do you think he was there to see? I don’t know about any of them being in rehab but somebody must have been. Now if we had seen him on Celebrity Apprentice, there’d be no doubt in my mind.
March 29, 2011 at 7:38 pm #22263shadowParticipantI can’t think of her name(I think her last name is Kane), is just adorable. I hope she lasts a while. Len is so hateful and he certainly was last night. I don’t get why they are so partial to Kendra. She’s a whine baby. I guess she thinks that will bring in sympathy votes.
March 29, 2011 at 8:09 pm #2226953tdogsParticipantKirstie dancing – and I am really disappointed in George Lopez who made some very disparaging remarks on his show (also saw on the news), in essence calling her a pig. When I saw her dance she had rhythm and grace on her feet and I think she looks wonderful.
March 29, 2011 at 10:54 pm #22274PattiParticipantLen is so hard on her. They keep saying she has "potential" but, IMHO, she’s one of, if not the best female or male dancers on this show. They were hard on her last week, too, and I just don’t understand it. They raved about the super model, who’s so super I don’t even know her name, and to me she can’t hold a candle to Chelsea. Go figure!
March 30, 2011 at 12:53 pm #22288PattiParticipantbrought no surprises for me. I expected it to be either the radio guy, Mike, or the talk show host, whose name escapes me now. He was cute and had lots of personality, but not much of a dancer, and she’s very close to being another Star Jones, IMO, although I do think the three that were up for elimination last night deserved to be there. Even so, I was hoping Sugar Ray Leonard got another chance to show that he’s at least better than the talk show host. And, besides, he is a home-town boy, so I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little partial to him staying last night.
March 30, 2011 at 5:49 pm #22291luckeyParticipanton a radio show in LA. I would think he was there to support him.
April 6, 2011 at 10:52 am #22449PattiParticipantthis week. Too many shows on at the same time to keep track of all, I guess. I really like Hines Ward and hope he goes straight to the top. He’s got a wonderful smile, is very charismatic with his partner, and gets better and better every week. Ralph looks like he’s slowing down a bit to me, but I love him anyway. Felt so sorry for Kirstie and Maks, but they made the comeback of the year, IMO. America sent the right one home …. Wendy Williams was the worst and I think after watching her competition from week to week, she was probably glad to get the hell out of there and back on her talk show, where she belongs.
April 6, 2011 at 11:40 am #22452BonbonParticipantthe talent seems to much more evenly distributed. Even the Las Vegas odds-makers are changing their minds from week to week.
Right now, I’m not sure who’d I’d put my money on but I think Chelsea has a good chance, along with Ralph, because she seems to have the talent, the personality, AND probably one of the best choreographers/teachers on the show.
What do you guys think about the new Troupe? I think it was a great idea. First of all, so the regular dancers don’t have to participate in the "extra" dances and then come back so quickly to be with their respective partners.
I really miss the Houghs but I don’t think either one of them will be back. I guess my favorite pro right now would be Chelsea Hightower (along with Maks, of course), she is so sweet.
April 6, 2011 at 7:05 pm #22463luckeyParticipantis so equal. Yes, some do a bit better than others; but, no one is a runaway winner. Being a huge Steelers fan, I’m rooting for Hines. I’m very happy that he has proven to be quite fluid on the dance floor. If the Steeler Nation is on board watching, he could be hard to beat with all the votes we would be sending in. At least it wouldn’t be like last year where the dancer was getting a large number of votes without the ability to warrant them. Just my opinion.
April 6, 2011 at 8:41 pm #22466shadowParticipantlast night(4-5) was Petra and Dimitri’s waltz. "You Lift Me Up" is a beautiful song. I don’t know how long she will last, but their waltz was really impressive. My next pick for leaving is Kendra. I just don’t care for her.
April 7, 2011 at 1:50 pm #22494MKParticipantI don’t care for Kendra either and I hope she goes next, too. I think she’s a phony.
Last night I watched Tuesday night’s results show. I couldn’t believe that Wendy Williams just left Tony standing there at the end! Tom said that is was time for their final dance and Wendy goes over to the audience shaking hands with everyone, walked right by Tony, leaving him just standing there. When she was done promoting herself on the one side of the audience, she was strutting to the other side. That’s when the recording stopped as time ran out. I really wish they give Tony a good partner for a change.
April 7, 2011 at 3:04 pm #22502luckeyParticipantwinning. He’s been around since the beginning and it’s his turn to have a dancing chance!
